Don’t take it personally, I think you get it, fundamentally. Guys like @fujiwara79 are a big part of the issue, however. There is a tendency for the WFH techno-capitalist class to keep pushing for lockdowns and restrictions because they feel zero impact from such things and have an anti-social bent already. The vast majority of journalists and media figures are also in this group. That’s really not a good thing.

And for many smaller restaurants that’s still a huge restriction. Restaurants need to be packed to have the slim profit margins work out. The single 20-something DoorDash crowd has zero clue about any of that.

Many times. I have probably traveled more than anyone here since the pandemic started. If you can’t get a reservation to even a chain restaurant that is just like being turned away. You are the guy arguing for WFH for all time so I doubt you go out much.

Many schools are still closed multiple days per week and restaurants/shops in many places have strict capacity and time restrictions. Leave your bubble and you’ll see.

Yeah, looks like the report from “Gorham” up at 3,700’ at Hermit Lake didn’t come in this time (shut down for season I guess), and that’s usually the only station that beats Randolph in the area.

People are literally waiting on the CDC and Dr. Fauci to tell them it's OK to live again. That's why they are fully vaccinated and still hiding out with masks on. They may be goners.

Florida is doing very well considering their elderly population. Maybe one day you will be able to put aside the snark and self-righteousness even in the face of the facts and get with the program. I have my doubts, though. Stay home, stay safe is the best bet for you, I think. We are good out here.

I also put away the snowblower and shovels in an attempt to voodoo curse my way into a snowstorm, and it seemed to have worked, so you're welcome.

Unfortunately, I moved the cam I had pointed at a measuring stick in early April figuring the snow was done. I could see that total assuming he measured every six hours to minimize compaction. The snow was melting as fast as it was falling at times yesterday.

People have to start pushing back on this stuff or they will never stop. It's not about the virus anymore in places such as Ontario.

They can also force you to enter a quarantine facility and get tested every day at your expense... if you can't pay, fines start. It's nuts up there. People laugh about the slippery slope arguments, but you don't have to look far to literally see them playing out in real time.
