  1. Yes, but it literally changed when Biden took office. Restrictions are actually much tighter now at DoD facilities than they were last summer. It doesn't make much sense, but then again being double-masked during a state dinner after full vaccination doesn't make any sense either.
  2. That’s good, I am just not a fan of rules that are stupid and can be ignored usually but are still on the books. Sometimes they are suddenly enforced or used to target certain groups (e.g, jaywalking and loitering laws used to target urban youths).
  3. Rich folks are buying up rural property left and right to get away from the cities and suburbs and build fortified compounds. But hey, life is still good. Liquor stores are open and you can still technically take a Sunday drive, just watch your speed and be prepared for traffic. Enjoy it out there.
  4. Craft beer, public schools open 2 days a week, Orioles on TV... what more could a MD resident want, I guess? Bread and circuses have always worked to quiet down the serfs.
  5. I'm providing you these warnings about what rich people have in store for you. Feel free to ignore them and keep whistling past the graveyard. It won't affect me one way or the other.
  6. Thanks for keeping me safe against my will, I guess? A pretty self-righteous way to look at it. Peak 2020 right there.
  7. Another disease from which the nanny govt wants to keep us safe.
  8. Dude, at least I am here complaining about it. You are here actively telling people they need to obey or else they "won't get very far" and gaslighting everyone into thinking this all makes perfect sense.
  9. Only on Zoom while masturbating.
  10. If you work for the Federal govt (and surely most state and local govts), you can't even sit in an office by yourself with the door locked without a mask on. You can't roam outside at any Federal installation or facility without a mask on, even if you are the only person for 50 miles in any direction.
  11. No. As stated here several times, we are waiting for the second generation of vaccines, when more information is available on the frequency of required boosters and how variants will be handled, along with full-use auth. I am not interested in a lifetime treadmill of emergency use auth boosters every six months for weaker and weaker variants of a disease that is very low risk to my family.
  12. My wife and I often wonder where the cases are coming from. It's hard to find evidence they are being driven by restaurants, schools, bars, airplanes, trains, workplaces, spring break parties, beaches, playgrounds, cruise ships, vacation destinations, or really anywhere people gather in large groups. What is driving the incessant case counts that have people worried at this point?
  13. Some of the shortage in staff has been caused by it still being a better deal to remain on unemployment than accept a lower-paying job.
  14. There are still restrictions everywhere. Many people are not going anywhere and just reporting anecdotes or they are attending unregulated minor events like backwater middle school baseball games where there were never capacity issues (and people in attendance may actually be breaking the rules) and reporting that as “wide open.” We literally still have major public and media freak outs over things such as spring break and open schools.
  15. If you simply obey all of the clearly BS rules and regulations that change every day and from county to county and make zero sense for vaccinated people, you will be fine. Just obey, and there will be zero issues. What’s so hard about that? Come on, obey already or else.
  16. LOL ”Just obey the police at all times and you won’t be shot. Simple” Listen to yourself man.
  17. Vaccine demand is already waning. You will never get to the 70-80 percent numbers that have been thrown out there. Then what? Mask and distance forever? You are smarter than that (I think).
  18. The idea that the vaccine refusers are the ones hiding at home is one of the biggest misreads of all time. We are all out here waiting for the rest of you.
  19. LOL at agreeing to obey dumb rules you know make no sense because that’s just the way it is. Wake up, dude.
  20. I’m probably younger than 65% of the forum, but I get that a lot for whatever reason. I guess I sound like someone’s dad. I take it as a badge of honor really, means I must have some sense in my head.
  21. When I canceled my company Christmas party this past December, the venue company was flipping out and begging me to reconsider. Clearly they have been getting hammered. They also made many legal threats towards the end to try to compel me to have the party. It was pretty sad and I felt bad for them.
  22. Second and third-order effects are hard for people to understand, I guess.
  23. Ground soaked it up. Based on reports from the locals here, seems like mud season barely even started and already into dust season now.
  24. Cool, glad to hear things are going well. I hope everyone else “comes out of it” as well and as quickly as you did. Sincerely, I do. Clearly, everyone is going to have wildly different viewpoints on when “normal” has returned based on their own lives. For some people, normal has always been 7 days at home and never eating out or socializing.
  25. Or maybe you just don’t do much? Never attend concerts, or ball games, or shows?
