  1. I think most posters here are OK with a little discourse on the topic. Posters who barely contribute anywhere on the forum and only chime in to complain that they want a pure and curated banter experience are toxic.
  2. A little cynicism is good for people in these weird times. Look at things twice and ask, "Who benefits?" Maybe it's OK that someone benefits, if you benefit enough as well. But it's worth considering.
  3. Amazing that daring to question corrupt mega-corp CEOs now gets everyone's panties in a twist. Just crazy what COVID hysteria has done to people.
  4. The list of the biggest pharma settlements includes almost exclusively the kind of behavior I am talking about, which has nothing to do with the scientists or the vaccine, but rather involves the marketers, lawyers, and executives. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_largest_pharmaceutical_settlements I certainly wouldn't take Pfizer's word for it that we need a booster every six months forever. No thanks. That sounds like marketing speak to me.
  5. So which scientists at Pfizer, specifically, pushed to market the drug Lyrica for off-label use for which it was ill-suited and dangerous? Did you mentor those guys too, by any chance?
  6. You call me a know-it-all, but now you are also an expert in business ethics and profiteering?
  7. Good job totally missing the essence of the conversation.
  8. You can trust that guy. He clearly would never promote an unnecessarily-early regimen of booster vaccines simply to make more money. Never, ever would he do such a thing.
  9. If she doesn't work for Pfizer at a senior level I don't see the relevance to this conversation? It isn't a conspiracy theory that big Pharma companies have been caught lying, cheating, and stealing to the point it killed people.
  10. I don't think any of the rank-and-file scientists and technicians at Pfizer or Moderna are hiding or falsifying anything. Not at all. But the corporate execs, lawyers, and accountants? Definitely a possibility. They are definitely having conversations about the costs and benefits of pushing an "accelerated" booster timeline and the effects that will have on the financials. Of course they are talking about this, they'd not be very good stewards for the shareholders if they weren't. The fact that they have 100% liability protection and the govt is footing the entire bill is an opportunity almost too hard to comprehend. I can only imagine what a wet dream this must be for the Pfizer leadership. It's like playing a video game in god mode. The govt is even actively torpedoing their competition. Good lord. The fact that the govt has told the public the vaccine is incredibly safe and has a huge vested interest in keeping that message going makes it very easy for Pfizer to push earlier and more frequent boosters. The vaccine is super safe, what's the harm in more boosters, right? Sure, I'm cynical about this.
  11. It's damned hilarious to me that here we are in 2021 and a huge capitalistic pig such as myself who literally makes money designing weapons for the DoD would be on here as the lone person arguing to not trust huge corporations with zero liability.
  12. Do you work for a pharmaceutical company or something? No idea why any American would get so butthurt over someone being suspicious of a global monopolistic company that has literally killed people before and simply paid a fine over it. I don't trust Pfizer to tell the whole truth if it gets in the way of profits. I am not telling anyone to forgo getting their injection of the precious science juice. Deal with it.
  13. I can at least sort of buy the idea that we need to blindly and obediently believe "the scientists" such as Fauci and those at the CDC/NIH. Sure, I get that at some level. But I'll be damned if I plan to blindly believe the corporate lawyers and accountants at Pfizer and Moderna. No thanks.
  14. I'm sure Pfizer would never promote an unsafe/unnecessary use of one of their products to make more money. Oh wait... https://abcnews.go.com/Business/pfizer-fined-23-billion-illegal-marketing-off-label/story?id=8477617 I wonder what the "studies" said about these drugs?
  15. The Pfizer leadership has publicly bragged about how lucrative ongoing boosters are going to be. It’s not a conspiracy theory.
  16. That’s OK. But I think it’s rather foolish to trust Pfizer on this. They are definitely ready, willing, and able to produce junk studies that serve to increase their own profits. There are already internal groups at Pfizer and Moderna discussing the “most profitable” timeline and public messaging campaign for boosters.
  17. It’ll last for whatever length of time maximizes profits without turning everyone off to the booster idea entirely.
  18. Well, the shareholders of Moderna and Pfizer will be happy, at least.
  19. Welcome back. It’s nice out here.
  20. LOL ok keep us posted, bro.
  21. Is someone actually confused as to why a giant pharmaceutical company that is obsessed with profits wants to keep the incredibly lucrative vaccine IP to itself for as long as possible? Really?
  22. A pretty weird post. @Damage In Tolland you seeing this?
  23. You've been spending the last few days on here arguing lockdowns are awesome and fighting anyone who disagrees.
  24. For sure. I am glad you are using the board as a place to vent. That’s better than taking out your frustrations in real life. Use your perception of me as a huge asshole to motivate yourself. Improve your own life so you can rub my nose in it. You can do it, man.
  25. Lot of tweaked people out there barely holding it together, no doubt.
