  1. Sheesh my seasonal allergies have been horrible last two days. I can't recall it being this bad ever.
  2. I would anticipate that many businesses will continue to enforce masking, at least for people who are actively symptomatic (there will be signs posted). The business insurance side of COVID is really a Wild West right now. It's impossible to say what will actually be covered. The whistleblower thing I posted about a couple weeks ago is just one example of how COVID is being treated as a "special case" for insurance purposes and under the law. People have already tried to bring very serious civil suits alleging that employees or other patrons gave them COVID and endangered their lives. These are all working through the courts now, hard to say how they will turn out. Many people are seeing this as an opportunity to force settlements and payouts from companies as well. Similar to how MeToo was a couple years back (although that petered out in part because there was so much existing case law and precedent to cap damages). I have literally already seen someone accuse a customer of mine of "endangering his life" because a dude at the same location was "not wearing his mask properly" (no clue what that even means). The Federal govt (EEOC) took this matter on to some extent and treated it as a valid discrimination and civil rights case, for a time. Just food for thought.
  3. LOL definitely easier to get away with as a chick.
  4. Yes, but now I mostly just screw around and other people handle the day-to-day running of the company.
  5. I’m sure it’s fine if you are worried about serious illness from COVID. Hopefully boosters won’t crush people the way that the main shots have.
  6. These things are mostly driven by liability insurance and how much risk the business wants to take. People who don’t own businesses are usually ignorant to what actually drives a business to mandate a dress code, for example. The shoes thing is more about something crushing or cutting a customer’s foot, or a slip, rather than style or the feelings of other patrons.
  7. You guys are really making us want to get the shot with these stories of how ill you were from it.
  8. Sometimes, but then the conspiracy theory somehow comes true, and I realize I am not the crazy one.
  9. I have never been in a gun shop that wasn’t full of paranoid kooks, to be honest. I never like going in those places.
  10. The next steps in this “logical” path are banning guns, then sharp knives, then cars, then activities such as skiing. No thanks. Let’s stop it here. My safety depends on my personal choices, not a mask mandate. I don’t need you to keep me safe in the name of govt overreach.
  11. Are you mad we aren’t thanking you for “keeping us safe”?
  12. Lol it’s actually the most likely combo.
  13. Almost back to that being possible again. Just lift all govt restrictions.
  14. It's really not a big deal when it's all optional and people can be treated like rational adults and trusted to make the best decisions for themselves and/or their business. Hopefully that world can return soon.
  15. We follow the rules in any business we enter. It's our choice to enter, and they can set the rules as they see fit. Doesn't bother us if it's an optional thing on both sides. We have left places before if the rules and hygiene theater silliness seemed over-the-top (a couple places in Maine spring to mind).
  16. Those of us who have not received the vaccine will respect you more if you just go back to normal... None of us feel that we need you to keep us safe. You can stop now.
  17. Amazingly, the "science" just suddenly changed again and now vaccinated people can go maskless outdoors. I anxiously await the next bit of "scientific progress" that removes indoor mask mandates out of the blue.
  18. What does this post say about the guy who constantly responds to the guy who posts about masks all day? Where does he fit into the hate hierarchy?
  19. I can definitely feel the toxicity oozing from each page of this thread. We need healing.
  20. I don't get angry over people wearing masks, I just wish it was optional. I really don't like govt overreach "for our safety." When I see someone with a mask on when it is not required, I feel more pity than scorn. I do get a little upset when I see small children with masks. It's really cruel to prevent kids from being able to use the facial cues they need to determine the disposition of another child or an adult. Making everyone stare at each others crazy eyes all day just makes people paranoid. Can't see any smiles or grins.
  21. As opposed to being weak and needy? Doesn't seem better to me.
  22. Your buddy sounds pretty well-informed to me.
  23. Outdoor masking was always stupid. It did help to identify those that should be avoided, however. When you saw people masked up and standing in their little six foot bubbles in an outdoor space you knew right away they were wackadoodles.
  24. Yeah, any nice East Coast state suburb is going to have a population of hypocritical, virtue-signaling Biden voters living in it who moved there to avoid the kind of things they claim to support. They are harmless, IMO.
  25. Randolph has a pretty sizable population of "older ladies with long gray hair who wear sandals 24/7 and walk their huskies several times a day all year long no matter the weather." NNE is chock full of 'em, I've noticed. Definitely not Trump's base... Politics is not a hot topic in NNH from what I have seen. Too distant from all the silliness in DC for them to really care. That's why I enjoy it so much.
