They should have a "Pop Pop Metric" that tracks the relationship between when grandpas are getting into the same craze their grandkids were into 6 months before and how that signals the end of the craze. My old man was talking about coins on Mother's Day, which I took as a sign this thing has jumped the shark.

I have speculated since the start of the pandemic that some percentage of the case numbers were driven by people with allergies or psychosomatic symptoms who get tested regularly and generate false positives.

It's crazy how many TV commercials suddenly started up showing people "getting back to normal" and hitting bars and clubs with no masks on. Every time I watch TV now I am struck by how strong and consistent the messaging is.

Rich people pay a lot of taxes, but it helps to have a business with a lot of revenue so you can justify writing off enormous amounts of personal expenses as “business expense.” It gets easier the more money your company is making. The small time fish who get caught try to write off too much too soon before their company has much revenue. Sorry, but the “cheat” pretty much requires that you already be successful.

I can sort of see why people are a little perplexed by the rapidity of the changes and questioning them. DoD installations on Friday: masks required all the time, everywhere, no exceptions. DoD installations on Monday: masks not required ever, anywhere, no exceptions. LOL

Companies should be wary of mandating vaccines. OSHA just weighed in and said that if a company forces employees to get the jab and they have an "adverse reaction" that liability is on the company that forced the vaccine. That means monetary payouts and lawsuits. Small businesses who want to virtue signal over vaccines need to be very careful. They may assume the govt or vaccine makers have some liability, when in reality they have zero.

I had Pandora going on my phone when I dropped it and it was kinda crazy to be looking into the water and the screen is brightly lit up with I presume tunes still cranking down there on the bottom. It was almost ocean water where I dropped it and I'm sure that contributed to it being messed up afterwards. The newer phones definitely can handle being submerged and are a lot tougher than in the past.
