The temp swings we get around here are nuts. Just a couple hours ago it was below freezing with ice making the pines droop a little and now I am sitting on a porch swing in a t shirt.
The only thing epic about this March so far is how bad it has been. Maybe mid-month it finally turns around and we can get a couple weeks of a grand finale on the slopes.
Not sure, I haven't been over to Cannon much this season. Been at Wildcat when not at BW. I would imagine it hasn't been open much given the way the winter is going. Maybe for a week or so late Jan.
The more I visit other mountains the more I keep coming back to BW. I never have a bad day there but at other places it can be bad or good. All depends on what you like. I know the feeling that you could get hit. I skied Cranmore today and it was full of the usual lower intermediate skill teenagers who go way too fast and are clearly unable to control their direction or speed. Basically human cannonballs. That’s never fun to deal with.
People with small kids of varying ability. Plus the conditions in the trees need to be timed. I ski five days a week so I go in the trees if conditions are good for it. Not too often in NH the last two winters, IMO.
