I can't remember the last time it felt so jungle-like out there. I guess it is the combo of the heat/humdity, the abundant rain, and the cicadas? The plants around my yard are growing like crazy. Some huge thick weed grew like 5 feet in a couple days right out of a bunch of bushes I just trimmed in May and already need to be trimmed again. I have been finding tons of insects other than the cicadas all over the place too, weird ones I can't recall having seen before. Found a snake swimming in the pool and had some baby deer sleeping in the yard near the house. It's nuts outside now, just a cacophony of noise and wildlife. I guess some of this might be that many other animals go nuts when the cicadas emerge and become more active to feed, that may be a part of it.

Well, that was all done "against the rules" right? I get that MLB have may overlooked things. I am saying just write that stuff into the rulebook. Not everything. You can't have an arm-mounted electric ball-launcher. The MLB is really good at writing detailed rules for every scenario. I'm sure they can figure it out.

I think they should let pitchers use substances on the balls and also allow hitters to use PEDs and corked bats. We should allow the competitive arms race to go crazy, would be very entertaining.

And I am about as worried now as I was last March. Also, it makes zero scientific sense to say things are getting "more dangerous" for the unvaccinated. That isn't really possible given what we can observe is happening with this virus. As more people get vaxxed or gain natural immunity, the number of possible vectors for infection will continue to decline. This virus appears to be following the pattern of getting weaker but more transmissible. That's a good sign it is petering out in terms of the deadly effects.
