We keep telling you... the unvaccinated are not worried about it. We all know you guys can't wait for those "moron rednecks" refusing the vax to get sick and die. No need to parade such a macabre viewpoint around here, though.
You can say this at any time, though. Take all the folks dying at home or in nursing homes now and stuff them all in your local ICU. You will see issues.
If this little storm causes 100,000 outages in CT and very little damage elsewhere does that mean it hit Cat 3 status briefly over the state? Seems to be the logic at play here.
I thought the “Hamden destroyed” thing was in 1989? Just because CT’s Africa-tier infrastructure is “heavily damaged” by certain storms does not mean that those storms were necessarily very strong or damaging themselves. CT’s risk of severe and damaging weather is no different than most other northeast states. My place in MD has days long power outages sometimes when a tree falls down. That doesn’t mean I was hit by a hurricane. It means our local power grid was built in 1908.
It seems rather silly to pretend restrictions could never return to VT if cases spike in the fall from a variant that evades the vaccines. But ok… maybe FL will bring back masks first. Sure.
You have posted a lot over the past 13 months about deaths, cases, breakthroughs, failed vaccines, etc. Just seems like these variants have you spooked. You'd most likely be perfectly fine if you got COVID.
There is definitely a reason they are doing this now. I haven't quite nailed down why, but none of the obvious answers are good.
People need to just turn it off and tune it out.
Yeah, I am very happy the sane people won out instead of folks such as yourself. It is a relief, trust me. Restores my faith in humanity a bit, although I'm sure it was mostly an economic decision to suddenly lift all mandates basically overnight. Stay safe out there with Delta and Lambda!
I think there are still some places out there with leftover mask signage they haven't bothered to take down. I could also see leaving it up as a liability thing and then not enforcing it. Kinda puts the onus on the customer to read the sign and then choose to ignore it anyway.
The number of businesses turning away customers over masks must be vanishingly small at this point.
