I think most Americans are over the whole thing and don't even care what these bozos are saying. Go out on the street. No one cares about COVID now. The people still getting worked up over it are all online just having these silly fights like we do. LOL

If you want to talk about something else, start by posting a good topic and then we will see if it gets any traction. That's how forums work, friend.

If I had to guess, they are just covering their butts like the worms they (and all politicians) are? I think it's fine to encourage vaccine use for the old and/or vulnerable. Makes sense to me.

Lot of dead leaves dropping here. Seems like the cicadas did a number on them. I expect a bad leaf season.

We live in a much more activist culture now, unfortunately. Politics and culture wars have seeped into everything. Watched a sports event lately? It's relentless. Commercials for breakfast cereals are pushing social agendas now.

Bodies are stacking up in the streets, I bet. Thousands of dead coeds on the beaches, finally?

Facebook became pretty terrible this time last summer, between the election and the virus. It was freaking relentless with the "fake news" tags they put on basically everything. I couldn't stand it anymore. It definitely felt like I was sitting in a brainwashing chair with my eyes stuck open watching a screen. I also realized the virus and political stuff had really scrambled the brains of some people who I thought were pretty reasonable and open to debate in the past (in both directions -- plenty of people I know started on that "Q" bullshit last summer).

Orioles.com is too depressing for me. I wish I could totally avoid the clown world stuff, but I have to pay attention to Federal employment regulations and changes in the HR field. It's getting kind of hard to be a Federal contractor and not be forced to basically be racist and sexist towards certain groups. We are still small enough to be able to dodge most things like mandatory CRT training, at least.

We are approaching peak clown world now. I am excited to see what is "accepted and celebrated" next.

The flip side of this is also true. People who are deathly afraid of COVID but have no issue being a "healthy" 300 lbs are out there. Plenty of supposed "experts" out there now pushing the idea you can be morbidly obese and healthy at the same time. Obesity-related illnesses kill way more people than COVID.

None of these "experts" have access to anything in China. They are just guessing or taking the word of the Chinese on things. There are a lot of powerful people wrapped up in all of this so no surprise the truth will never come out. We will kick the can until the next pandemic erupts in the same way.

I cut out all social media. This is the only "social" site on which I post. Getting rid of Facebook was awesome. Trying to get my wife to dump it too. She has her's so curated it's just travel and recipe stuff now though.

That would simply be the voice of the American people speaking about how they really feel about all of this. That's how it should be.

This should be handled at the community, business, and family level. Businesses can feel free to close down to unvaccinated if they choose. Very few to none have done so, however, which is pretty telling IMO.

Fox News is owned by the same elite rich class that owns all the other TV networks. The idea that they are the "opposition" is just made-up theater for the masses. Like a fake professional wrestling feud.

None of the unvaccinated are asking for masks to return. That's all from your side. This entire debate also assumes that none of the unvaccinated have immunity already. People are so tweaked out now. We are operating under such a weird dynamic. Attacking and vilifying the healthy as the cause of the pandemic.

Yes, but Israel has acknowledged a high case count amongst the vaccinated. The vaccinated can spread it to each other. No clue why that narrative got twisted around.

LOL so mad that I won't get a vaccine after you already got your own. Just go live your life and stop worrying about what medicines some rando on the Internet is or isn't taking. If you think the unvaccinated are what's causing your life to be ****ed up, you will always be stuck in first gear.

Why do people keep pushing this myth that it’s old Trump Boomers refusing the vax? That isn’t the case at all. There are wide swaths of vaccine resistance among the young and minorities. They don’t watch Fox News.

Or maybe just worry about your own lives instead of interrogating others over their personal health decisions? I really get the feeling many vaxxed people do not trust the vaccines very much…
