  1. He might have a case of the “man flu” too. I get that sometimes according to my wife. LOL
  2. Oh yeah, gotta make sure to screw the kids for yet another year to protect selfish adults who don’t think their own vaccines work.
  3. As a vaccinated person, does it make any sense to you though? I get that you simply comply with whatever “guidance” comes down, but doesn’t it seem a little illogical to you?
  4. Casedemic. Hopefully more people push back this time. It’s going to make even more people question the vaccine if mask mandates return in force. It’s basically saying that the vaccines alone aren’t enough.
  5. Looks like the guidance is coming at 3 PM ET that the vaccinated resume wearing masks indoors in "mixed" environments which is basically everywhere aside from small, controlled gatherings. We will see what the states do... folks are really going to need to push back against the government if they ever want this treadmill to stop.
  6. This assumes the governors will follow the actual data. Again, we’ll see. It’s going to take some courage for a liberal state governor to tell the CDC the guidelines don’t apply in his/her state.
  7. I guess we will see. I don’t see the governors in liberal states resisting CDC guidance as much as you are indicating.
  8. Vaccinated people probably should go bananas over this.
  9. I'm sure she was a nice person. That said, being very obese is a huge risk factor for COVID. It's important that people know that. Maybe it will motivate them to lose some weight.
  10. Do you really expect MA to buck the CDC guidance?
  11. Bringing back mask mandates for the vaccinated will certainly not help drive vaccination rates.
  12. Small businesses that force employees to get vaccinated are taking a big risk, especially if it will be really hard to prove that the type of business they are in poses an enhanced risk of contracting or spreading the disease (e.g., hospital or dorm).
  13. Is your nephew relatively young and healthy? A bad cold sounds worse than what most vaxxed people have been reporting.
  14. Super big liability issues there. OSHA has already stated that if a business mandates a vaccine and someone gets sick or worse from it, the business could be on the hook big time from a legal perspective. Any issues arising from the vaccine would be considered "work-related" under the law. It's going to be very hard for the average non-health related business to get away with mandating vaccinations, IMO. I don't see it being widespread. Small businesses that want to virtue signal need to be very, very careful here. The benefit is probably not greater than the risk.
  15. As always, very glad not to be a government employee.
  16. Looks very hazy through the cam.
  17. He's already been telling his people to get vaccinated. He talks about the vaccine a lot (usually in the context of claiming he invented it). I don't think he's the issue with vaccine hesitancy. I know you don't agree, but all of the Trump Fox News Boomers I know rushed to get vaccinated very early. The vast majority of those I know who are not getting vaxxed are under 40 and tend to really distrust the government (all government, not just the Biden administration). I think some of you are oversimplifying this issue a lot which is why you haven't been able to figure out yet why people keep resisting. It has little to do with Trump or Biden for most of us.
  18. The best way to reach these two divergent groups is clearly to send a bunch of government-sponsored white Millennials door-to-door lecturing and patronizing them and telling them they are killing grandma. Should be effective.
  19. You guys perceive the posts as political because for you COVID is 100% a political matter. Red vs blue.
  20. Watching the US vs France basketball replay now. Who are these clowns? They don't seem to be the US all-stars of Olympics past.
  21. Getting lit up with lightning too.
  22. Yes, the hop on buses are great. We were doing a whirlwind tour of northern Italy and then we took an entire day riding that kind of bus in Florence. It was awesome sitting up top catching the breeze and just taking in the city. I love watching people in other countries scurrying around going about their routine. People watching is awesome. I could sit in Italy all day long just drinking wine and eating aged ham/cheese. Before we bought the place in Randolph we seriously looked at a place in Italy, but the pandemic stuff ended all that for now. If things had turned out differently, I might have ended up in some Italian weather forum bitching about my lemon trees instead of being here. LOL
  23. I love watching obscure sports. I watched Olympic archery once at like 1 AM. A bunch of seemingly out of shape people hitting bullseye after bullseye. Some sports are more about total calmness and focus instead of brute athleticism.
