He simply can't acknowledge that minorities and young people make up a large chunk of the unvaccinated. It's easier to just imagine that they are all Trump Boomers watching Fox News. Some people just can't handle much nuance. They need to keep their worldview simplistic to cope.

Make sure you wear a mask around them. Per the science, you can spread Delta to them.

If it's already a non-story, why does it matter if there are people in those states who are not vaccinated? They probably have natural immunity at this point. Forcing them to get vaccinated will set a terrible precedent and not make you any safer.

The science now says they are spreading COVID to people if they are not masked up!

30 and 40 year old people are not dumb. If they saw their friends all getting very ill from COVID they would rush out to get vaccinated ASAP. I hate that these obtuse, abstract metrics on the TV and Twitter are driving all of this. Makes it very easy for people who get scared to become decoupled from the actual reality on the ground. I think that's why I saw people who were spraying down Amazon boxes then be willing to hop on a packed plane or eat at a packed restaurant the very next day. It made no logical sense.

We have the data from the UK. Did 20 year olds die at a higher rate from Delta than the prior strains? Last I checked, deaths were down in all categories over there.

It's fear porn to drive vaccinations among the young. They did the same thing a year ago to try to get them off the beaches and out of the clubs. If it is on Twitter, it's likely totally bogus.

Maybe this new knowledge that the vaccinated can keep the casedemic going forever themselves will finally wake enough people up that calling the unvaccinated stupid rednecks and claiming we are single-handedly responsible for the pandemic is not the way out of this mess. We need to elect people who will take action based on metrics other than simply cases.

The risk is no higher now than it was in July 2020 when we were all running around with no vaccines. I said this to a couple of militant COVID people recently and they had no comeback. I guess the media has this all twisted around for people.

Unvaccinated people will only get tested if they land in the hospital, mostly. I assume many vaxxed people still get tested all the time like they always have.

And flu cases are probably undercounted big time.

Most of the unvaccinated are excited at the prospect of the government trying to force this. Like I said yesterday, it fits perfectly with the under siege loner mentality many unvaccinated have.

Clearly this involves the vaccinated because the CDC is telling you guys to mask up so you don’t spread the virus.

Definitely more resistance to this so far than I expected, which is good. The vaccinated are the ones who needed to be pushing back on this the most, and that seems to be happening to a good degree.

Well, we know if they had been fine and recovered with no issues, we never would have heard about it. Just like a Yelp review, you only ever hear about the terrible COVID outcomes, not the hundreds of millions of mild cases with no real complications.
