I'll have to see what the guidance looks like when it comes down to the contractors. The government isn't going to pay my bills if I tell someone to get vaccinated and they end up sick from it and sue me. The government also isn't going to pay my bills for testing and monitoring of employees who refuse to comply. This is going to cost everyone billions of dollars and not save a single life.

We tried to tell 'em... Mommy government always ends up here. It would have been better for us to handle this ourselves at the community/business level, but scared weenies insisted that the government come in and mandate the **** out of everyone to "keep us safe." Australia is the next stop for us unless we push back.

To get jabbed against a virus that I probably already had and is zero threat to me and that I can still catch and spread around, forcing me to still mask and distance anyway. That jab?

I guess we are really at the point where the Federal government is going to force citizens to get a EUA medical procedure done against their will even if they just sit in a private office all day? Definitely a dark national turning point.

The risk over there is very low. I wouldn't worry about a thing other than some crazy snap lockdown. The virus itself shouldn't be a concern.

I think Israel said that Pfizer is about 39% effective at preventing Delta infection.

The counts for cases and probably hospitalizations have been off all along. There was data from the UK NHS that many of the people hospitalized for COVID actually came in for something totally unrelated and only tested positive later, yet they are called a "COVID hospitalization" in the numbers all the same. Deaths are probably also a little off, but there may be errors in both directions so it may be a wash. Time will tell.

They said that in the UK and I think Canada as well. The new information that the vaccinated can spread the virus effectively really calls into question the "COVID zero" models of Canada and Australia. Even if they vax everyone every year they can still have these clusters of cases.

I don't see how Australia ever breaks out of this loop unless the politicians there go up on stage and issue a massive mea culpa over the whole thing and totally change their approach. They are always going to be getting new variants coming in there from Asia. These little clusters of cases are never going to end. Australia really should be a warning for us over here about how heavy-handed the mommy government can get when we ask it to "keep us safe" and how out-of-hand the response from the government can become as older measures stop working. Putting people in literal camps is next; we will see if they get there.
