    Yeah, I personally enjoy those clear and crisp days in the upper 40s/lower 50s with a breeze while watching the leaves fall or strolling through some pumpkin patch/corn maze/apple cider fest thing.

    Nice to see some highs under 50 appearing in the forecast at least. Still looks like relatively warm-ish nightly mins ahead. I think that's been the bigger story than the highs. Just not much radiator action recently.

    Some folks should just move to Miami. Better chicken weather down there too.

    We have noticed a lot of state and local stuff is pretty messed up now. Vehicle registrations, tax forms, driver's licenses, court system, 9/11 services. Lot of stories out there now of long waits and disastrously poor service/response time. I think there is a wave of issues that were kicked down the road during COVID that are now appearing one after the other. I'm sure I am not alone in seeing this.

    This is where it pays to be a little more cynical about human nature and not always assume people will act in the most rationally benevolent way all the time.

    People living very frugally in poorer areas can do it easily. It's a big issue up here. I have talked to several tradesmen who are already shut down for the winter. They can live off a couple grand for that time. These guys aren't living in 600k McMansions in SE Mass driving brand new Yukon Denalis.

    The last 24 hours would have been considered warm in early August up here. I guess we are going to go from summer directly into winter some time in November at this point?

    The extended reminds me of Feb and March up here last winter. Small temp range and little precipitation for days on end. Hopefully we are getting that mode out of the way now and then November roars in mid-month to lock in winter. It's fine in October to be warmish and dry, some colder nights would be nice though.

    I continue to be amazed at the uniqueness of the weather in CT. Have scientists looked into this yet?

    71/54. Some high clouds but not a big deal. Let’s get some cold mins in here at least. Part of fall is frosty mornings. Haven’t had anything close to that yet.

    Agree with PF, despite the temps the plants are getting really tired now. Tons of chipmunk action. I’m sure they are enjoying these temps.

    65 and warm sun. Honestly ready for some cold now. Been tanning and sipping cold drinks since the beginning of April. Enough already.
