GFS seems to be headed towards the other models. Weak and east. We will see if it comes back later but seems pretty dead right now.

Better areal coverage of good precip than prior runs. Definitely more synoptic influence showing up on these runs now.

The NAMs really seem to focus more on the coastal now. Heaviest precipitation is focused in NH and east. They have been really jumpy, though. Back and forth every six hours.

The 00z NAMs were just a burp, 06z looked good. All models overnight looked great, really. All systems go. Hoping for 6-8" here.

Both NAMs seem to let the low escape east very quickly. Hopefully just a burp like 12z was.

He usually sits back in these coastal threat threads and takes a faux detached view when we all know he is checking every run and will end up with a foot anyway.

The 3k will easily spit out 48"+ for the peaks once it covers both the upslope event and the coastal.

12z Euro looks really nice for Fri-Sun period. Also dumps Mon and Tue but that is a coastal deal that is likely to shift a lot.

Damn, what a stretch here on the 12z GFS starting Friday through mid next week. Too bad it's probably all wrong.

Seems the higher-end solutions depend on a low popping in the GOM and curving back as it heads NE. That enhances the synoptic and upslope components. 00z Euro last night had this, along with the 12z 3k and 12z GFS. We will see if the 12z Euro does it. The difference between a 2-4 deal and maybe 8+ in spots?
