  1. Wow, must have been fun to be under this for hours. This will get us up to 3 or maybe a little more then its over. It's been a normal story for here, best banding either side of the bay, a little reminder of what real snow is on the way out, and on the whole unremarkable.
  2. For sure. Only got to get through 5 months of gloom until then.
  3. Between 6 hours today and 12 hours on the last one, I've had 18 hours of snow, and about 3 inches in total. Currently 1.5" and pixie dust in subsidence. Maybe will actually get some growth as the band passes through and then this is over, especially now that temps have dropped. *Shrugs* I just booked 3 days in the adirondacks. I can't take this all winter.
  4. Yeah, but that's where the bands always are.
  5. It's just a horrible place for snow. Just have to accept it. The banding Sigs before this with a pretty meh system showed this could happen. As if anyone thought a band wouldnt form west of here, but with more ragged radar, this is always what happens.
  6. Seems like narragansett bay screw zone about to open up. How shocking.
  7. Not this year. Seems like every other year, just about.
  8. Finally starting to show up on grass. Not expecting much with this but I'm heading out to sachuest with the family and a walk in the snow and loving the look. Kid is updating me constantly with how much it's snowing on his own one to ten scale. He says it's a 3 and almost a 4, just like him and I can't argue with that.
  9. Light snow finally, radar suggests it will pick up quickly.
  10. Ok, Im looking the radar, it's exactly as unimpressive as you'd imagine.
  11. It's the most snow I've ever seen fall without anything happening.
  12. You mean they didn't depict a progressive system bombing out with huge wrap around moisture as it hurtled by at lightspeed? I'm shocked. I hope they do it again though. It was silly and I like looking at the pretty colors.
  13. That meh would be my best snow for a couple of years. I dont see this thing having time to get organized enough to deliver some hellacious uppercut. If it did, I'd be worried about rain. I'll take a meh event. Bar some really freaky gradient overrunning stuff, meh events outperform blockbusters down here.
  14. 3k nam ponders bombogenesis. Nam seems more realistic to me.
  15. When "everyone" wins, the extreme coast loses.
  16. You say this but you have the fear. I can smell it.
  17. I'm within an inch of smashing through last seasons total! (of 12 inches)
  18. I've never seen it snow this hard for so long to get nowhere.
  19. It's still snowing moderately hard between bands, but it sounds like its raining outside, for how much the pine tree is dripping. I think the storm was modeled pretty well here, if you ignored the clown maps for actual output. Super low ratio and high melt. Since its going to rain at the end anyway here though, who cares? It's putting on a bit of a show at least.
  20. This feels like a March snowstorm. We've had like half a foot of snow so far and there is a couple inches on the ground. Trying to finish up work so I can take another walk.
  21. Love how the heavy echoes are building in south. Could be in this for a while.
  22. We are currently In what is likely the best snow we will see all year. It's dumping out there. Enjoy it!
  23. Yeah, of course. I'm sure portsmouth has double our snow already. I'm closer to the bridges. It's not worth thinking about though, its gorgeous outside and my kids loving it.
