  1. I vividly remember the pictures of the epic pancake on your porch table. Helluva storm!
  2. You are a got dang walking talking weather encyclopedia man. I'm constantly impressed, that is amazing!
  3. The GFS past few runs has been suggesting we may hit lower to mid 60s later next week. I mean that's camping temps, I'll be getting spring fever soon. I logged several nice dustings this season and am content to move on at this point.
  4. Got an inch in the gauge today. I have to say
  5. I came across this interesting discussion on the geology and geography of the Cumberland Plateau, thought I'd share. https://chuck-sutherland.blogspot.com/2015/11/tennessees-cumberland-plateau.html
  6. Friends and family in Paris said they got an initial round of freezing rain and then a transition to sleet. Enough ice to freeze mailboxes shut and enough sleet to completely cover the roads. Overall not too bad, especially compared to some of the modeling.
  7. Just talked to my folks in Paris. Thunder and rain at 25 degrees, ice is building up. Some sleet now. It's getting nasty.
  8. That GFS looks DGEX level crazy. I'm gonna be over here eating popcorn watching all this unfold. Stay warm west and middle friends and don't break a hip!
  9. This thing right here is a very good investment, I highly recommend it. Currently $121 on Amazon. You've got AC and DC outlets, USB port, a light, a blower upper, and can jump start your car. The last power outage we had, I plugged two AC floor lamps into it for a half hour and it still read 100% charge. I'd imagine you could keep your family's phones charged for over a week if need be. Edit: I will add, that if you buy one of these, keep it charged up. If you use it and it gets drained and stays that way, it will ruin the battery. https://www.amazon.com/Schumacher-SJ1332-Jump-Starter/dp/B07892JQ1Q/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=Schumacher+SJ1332+1200+Amp+12V&qid=1613002355&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExVDFFVVJWUDNVRFhZJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNTU2ODAxMlNBVDUwUVRPWDhYWCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUExMDA4OTYxMk9KMUpQNDNINEFTUyZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
  10. It is absolutely beautiful here today. Sunny and 64 degrees! Already been on two walks, may have to go on another.
  11. This is not all snow of course, but it's amazing to see how relatively little frozen gets past the plateau.
  12. A great low track for us and for once no marginal temps to deal with. Sign me up.
  13. The OHX and HTX radar feeds look ridiculous.
  14. I'm proud that so many people are up at 3 in the morning watching the ground turn white!
  15. Getting dimes now, just a beautiful snow at this point. Edit: Dripping nickels now and the ground getting white. Worth staying up for!
  16. Certainly low ratio stuff here, very wet flakes. Hasn't had a chance yet to pile up. 33/32
  17. I'm really glad I stayed up for it. Finally transitioned to a full blown fat flaked snow. The real change over happened a little before 2am, MRX said it would start mixing in at 5am. Regardless, I'm grateful!
