  1. The SW responsible for Thursdays event is just entering the PNW so we might see some very welcome changes with tonight's 00Z runs or wee may see some heartbreaking changes. It should be sampled much better so if nothing changes and they stay the course, then all that talk about the SW still being out over the open waters is absolute garbage but we'll see real soon. I'm not expecting any real big changes but we might just see the start of a trend either to the NW or further S&E.
  2. 1 out of 76 ski resorts are open in Northern Italy because of Covid. Sad
  3. We may not see any snow here until the New Year which I know is sad but it won't be the first time. All the snow is in the Alps right now as Northern Italy is completely buried under feet and feet of snow!
  4. Thats gotta be the stupidest map I've seen in a long time, lol!
  5. Yeah well you can keep hoping cause the atmosphere is bone dry from tomorrow evening up until this event were all sweating over, lol! IDK where the moisture is coming from but then again theres some cold air flowing over the Lake so who really knows at this point
  6. No doubt, the set-up is good for all of us as the blocking isn't that strong but until the first blows up over Labrador we won't really know how strong it really is!
  7. I think we may in fact need a miracle for our area just to see some snow, WOW, I never thought I'd be saying that!
  8. I don't think anyone in WNY thought they were getting anything significant from this system anyway.
  9. On top of all of this, the indices are all in our favor as well so who the heck knows what we need these days to get a simple snowstorm, lol???
  10. Maybe the GFS is on to something as its definitely been the steadiest of the globals thus far so who knows! They've all been somewhat steady in their own way but one of them has to have the right idea, No??
  11. The guys in that KBUF office haven't got a clue, lol! Its already down to 36 here and dropping and they had a high here in early afternoon of 44F
  12. Are the Mets in this office serious? This is the reason I now default to the KBGM office as their discussion's are much more in depth with explanation. When Tom Nizziol left the NWS that office went with him unfortunately and they will never find anyone to replace him! Whoever is writing these discussions hasn't got a clue, seriously though. The storm doesn't strengthen along the SNE coastline it does so across the Mid-Atlantic then scoots out south of the Benchmark. Yeah, I'll never read their discussion's again. LONG TERM /WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/... The focus this time period will continue to be upon a storm system crossing the Southeast, and rapidly deepening off the southern New England coastline Wednesday through Thursday. The overall flow is progressive enough to keep this eastward track to the storm, with only its northwest edge brushing by our region. Light snow Wednesday will end through the night as this storm tracks towards New England. Surface high pressure behind this system will bring quiet weather to end the week with a sub freezing airmass Thursday becoming above freezing by Saturday. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  13. One of them will have to give in eventually unless their both wrong, [emoji23], which is a definite possibility as the ICON may have been on to something all along with it's Northern extent of the precip field and with it's SLP position but at this point who knows! 14. The Cuse is down-sloping big time off the bumps in So. Onondaga Cty & Cortland Cty, lol, as it has warmed to the upper 50's! I'm siting at 46 as the warming comes to a screeching halt somewhere near North Syracuse and cools thereafter, nuts
  15. Big Shift like Tim mentioned so theres still hope 12Z 00Z
  16. Tomorrow nights 00Z run should be much better as the SW responsible for the event will be just entering the PNW and should be much better sampled so we'll see if any real changes occur, if not then congrats NYC--->BOS
  17. Even the PNA looks ideal with it staying positive for the next couple weeks It sure will, lol!
  18. std of about -1 at the time of the event so blocking is there
  19. Someone in the Tug is gonna like this for Monday! look at the omega, wow!
  20. Would we be happy if we were in the JP 4-5 days out, hell no!
