    Wasn’t the DC (NOVA) split said earlier today??? Sure enough that’s what happened. Severe days aren’t the same around here anymore. the potential is there but never realized. Firm believer if it weren’t for the midday cloud cover the majority of the area would have capitalized.

    looking like this really gets going 95 eastward. Midday clouds robbed us again. Radar is rather pathetic at the moment.

    I have heard the same for our parts. Very anemic severe season so far and just lack of rain overall. Which I’m partially okay with, I like to keep the hours down on my zero turn lol.

    Listening to Staunton fire/rescue, rescue crews still have not reached the crash site by foot due to the terrain. Going to be a very sad and interesting story the next couple days. Another concerning thing about this is that the jet even made it in and through restricted air space. But I guess unlike 9/11 at least the F-16’s were scrambled in the right direction.

    I live in culpeper near 729/229, definitely some gusty winds came through. Small limbs branches down nothing crazy.

    Ehh another big rain maker potential shrinking with every run.

    Starting to look like 2 landfalls. One would think more significant impacts for portions of our area. Seems like a non traditional track??? A landfall on the west coast of Florida and another on the southeast coast seems pretty unusual?? I guess we will see how things trend in the next 24 hrs.

    Looks like we’re in for a dry fall! I own a 167 acres where i cut trails through down to a normally wide flowing creek,to ride atv’s….it’s all but dried up last month or so. Cant even go out and enjoy some riding without it being a dust bowl!!!

    That concept never made much sense. Although in a 3 story house to have the upstairs unit in the basement would create extreme challenges for running the duct work. I think a dedicated closet on the upper level is much more reasonable versus the attic.
