  1. 28/27. 6" have fallen now SW of Warrenton as compaction has been a factor- but fatties are ripping now. Figure I can get another inch or so out of the back end.
  2. Radar filling as far as 60 miles SW of Richmond
  3. 12z showed another .25 - .3 into the evening.
  4. Check out radar right now if you can. Already beginning to see the S to N shift in banding, and filling in very nicely! Euro might be on to something...
  5. Radar beginning to fill in nicely in my neck of the woods! Appears the edge of the precip shield is pretty far W.
  6. Roughly 5.1" have fallen here just SW of Warrenton. 29/27. Walked around the property with the dog..she loves snow but always seems to forget how cold it is when she digs her snout into and takes a bite. Winter Wonderland out here.

  8. 2nd measurement of the evening, exactly 2" have fallen. 30/28. Higher rates when out measuring this time. Haven't seen a single car pass on the country road I live out on, or a plow. Grass and walkway completely covered with a blanket of crunchy fluff.

  11. First reading of the evening, roughly 1.5" fallen here just SW of Warrenton. 31/27. Slight lull showing on radar, between bands. Absolutely crisp outside with nice crunchy footsteps to the measuring site.

  13. It's been awhile since I've seen a trend like the one we are witnessing leading up to an event. Makes complete sense too, considering we've overperformed on numerous rain events this year...Glad to be on the Boom side for once in Southern Fauquier.

  16. Houston is going to be underwater.
  17. Precip shield looks roughly the same however at HR 39 compared to 18z. L appears to be a tad quicker.
