The NHL took him at his word that he was innocent so they closed their investigation pretty quickly. I get the sense that since now he's seeking assistance that is available to NHL players and has agreed to be regularly tested as part of it, that the NHL won't do anything more at this time, especially since he was pretty much guaranteed a spot on the Russian national team if he was healthy any of those 4 years, including the 2022 Olympics, and that's embarrassing enough. But if he tests positive for something anytime in the future the NHL will drop a looooong suspension on him. Of course, my speculation could turn out to be wrong.

It wasn't as much as people further north got, but still there were sheets of rain at times as the line went through (it was a bit fun to watch the heavy rain continually changing directions because of the wind), and a few instances of flash-bang (including one that happened when the skies had cleared). (For the edification of others, I live a few miles away from H20)

I'm about 3.5 miles away from Kingstowne, and not far from Belle Haven Country Club. It rained. A lot of it, and heavy. It also got a bit windy and there was T&L. Storm was moving at a snail's pace.

Get yourself to Canada as well. First suggestion is Montreal for the experience of watching hockey in a place where they'll cheer for the Canadiens one minute and boo them the next. I've honestly described it to people as akin to going to church. Second suggestion is Winnipeg for the noise (the arena is the smallest in the NHL but because of how it's built it's the noisiest). If you want the closest place to Holtby's hometown of Lloydminster, Edmonton is where to go with its relatively brand-spanking new arena. For the record, I've attended games in Montreal, Edmonton (at the old arena), and Calgary. Edit: Why not Toronto? When you're from somewhere in the ROC (Rest of Canada) there is a tendency to hate Toronto. Every year they don't win the Stanley Cup is a very good year. They last won it in 1967.

I'm right near the Wilson Bridge and it's blue skies and breezy here, but if I got in the car and drove less than a mile south I'd be saying something different.

I live a few miles from @H20 and yes, his area and a stretch of Route 1 from the Beltway to just south of Mount Vernon have been doing quite well lately.
