    Got a little hopeful as it looked like some rogue showers were dropping straight south from Lancaster, PA after 10 last night but it must have fizzled before getting to my part of northern maryland. The yard is as hard as concrete now.

    Most guidance kept things to our south - good for outdoor stuff - bad for lawns and gardens. I had hoped for something today but….

    That would be most welcome. Maybe better shot for you. Northern MD still seems to be missing systems in all directions (too north this weekend - too west others - too south others). We only seem to get rain here with frontal passages. Would love to see some actual lows track and bring area wide moisture at some point. Still feels like the pattern from last winter is holding up this way in terms of moisture.

    It's the Memorial Day verison of that early January storm in 2022 that screwed this area over while folks cashed in big from Ellicott City south.

    Gorgeous and sunny up in northern Maryland but my day for smoking a butt is Monday so chilly, damp and dreary may be the order of the day for that activity then too.

    Another pretty perfect late May morning. Cool and then a warm up to...warm. It's really nice. Still could use some rain later this weekend though, for sure.
