    Woke up to grass coverage - fun! Will probably call it .8 .

    39 when I retrieved my car from the park and ride lot at 70 and Security area. Hard rain. 37 as I pulled into my driveway in Monkton a few minutes ago. Steady rain. Don’t think I saw anything mixing on the drive home.

    Some snow was mixed in briefly with the rain between Hagerstown and Frederick at the higher elevation point between those two burgs.

    Passing through Frederick now on 70 - car reading 41 and it is a steady rain

    We are 15 miles west of Hagerstown on 70 as we work east and it is 40 and raining hard.

    Cleared somerset - 25 miles from breezewood and temp up to 36 and just rain here at the moment. Glad cleared that stretch up to somerset- that was dicey.

    Yeah. It’s sticking up here now.

    Making the drive now from Cincinnati- (passenger while my brother drives) - we are all snow up on the PA turnpike headed toward somerset portion of the turnpike - 34 up here currently.

    In all seriousness, it’s usually not a great thing but maybe not the same issue in this setup. Feels like in the past flare ups like that and convection well to south robbed us up here of a needed piece of energy but that’s not a piece of this setup I don’t believe. If none of that made sense, I pre-apologize.

    About to drive to Cincinnati with my brother for the bengals game tomorrow. It’s a 1:00 game so will hit the road home around 4:30. Eight hour drive so glancing at things have a real shot at seeing good snow on way across the PA turnpike after 8:00 tomorrow evening.

    Foggy start to my Saturday hike - burned off nicely though around 10. Group leader this time hit every available trail around lake Roland - 8.5 miles.

    The very lightest of flurries as I get ready to get in the car. I can walk in between them but…flurries. First ones I’ve actually seen this year at my house.

    Always fun to realize how much weird information makes it to people who are not weather zealots - the person outside my office at work is the perfect individual for that...today's version - Her: "I heard it's gonna snow, is it gonna snow Aaron?" Me: "No."

    He 100% dug in on Jan 2016 storm totals being no more than 6-8 inches even as the storm was unfolding. I roasted him for a bit that AM and he blocked me.
