    Kinda not ideal conditions today for the st Patrick’s 5k in downtown Baltimore. Better than yesterday I guess but that wind is gonna make it an unpleasant experience I suspect for the runners.

    Yeah, thunder during the walk just now with the dogs on the ncr trail. If we were low on the day for rainfall here a few hours back, we are not now.

    Huh. Precip development in these systems can be so weird.

    Got in 5 miles of a 7.5 hike at Soldier’s Delight area in owing mills in just a mist. Last two and a half miles it opened up and poured. That said looks like the heaviest this AM went up to PA and is still heavy up there while just light here. And looks like the heaviest later is over toward 95 and eaat toward @CAPE. Probably a precip minimum for this event in and around the beltways compared to north and east anyway…

    Hell, that didn't get it done when we saw those kinds of projected temp profiles through every week of winter save the one. Much less the end of the third week in March. Pretty cool to be tracking cool and rainy tho, I guess.

    Um, our snow totals were kinda shit. The bar cannot be in comparison to a historically awful year.

    He’s a troll. Has been forever. Worst outcome now for many of us would be a pointless anomalously cold and rainy period around opening day so he posts things that point that show that worst outcome. When it is winter and most of us very much would like snow he does the opposite. That’s what you are noticing.

    holy crap - the peepers were DEAFENING on the ncr trail this evening - like - it should be april for those sounds being that deafening...and no way should I be hearing them like this now in northern baltimore county

    Good observation - altho I think I am not off on the late arrival of legit blocking - that has been a recurring theme for years and years now. Pretty good recall of "where was this blocking ___ weeks ago posts" over and over again over the last eight or so years...

    Getting true blocking way too late to help and making spring relatively cold and wettish up our way has been a bit of a recurring theme the last ten years or so. Enough of a recurring event now that I idly wonder if it is tied to the general change occurring with our weather patterns.

    Makes sense. I would guess spring ski season into May is pretty ok in Tahoe tho? Dunno - don't ski. Probably good for the continued drought relief in that part of Cali at any rate.

    4 - 8 feet of snow expected in Tahoe from Thursday to Saturday. That's...a lot.

    27 this AM on the morning dog walk. Not for nothing, but it has been cold enough for the last 8 days in the overnites to have supported snow/frozen up this way should anything have come along.
