  1. Holy crap. Really? That's awesome - have fun and do take care.
  2. Getting true blocking way too late to help and making spring relatively cold and wettish up our way has been a bit of a recurring theme the last ten years or so. Enough of a recurring event now that I idly wonder if it is tied to the general change occurring with our weather patterns.
  3. Ji trying to carry the board with optimism is really quite the heel turn.
  4. Makes sense. I would guess spring ski season into May is pretty ok in Tahoe tho? Dunno - don't ski. Probably good for the continued drought relief in that part of Cali at any rate.
  5. 4 - 8 feet of snow expected in Tahoe from Thursday to Saturday. That's...a lot.
  6. 27 this AM on the morning dog walk. Not for nothing, but it has been cold enough for the last 8 days in the overnites to have supported snow/frozen up this way should anything have come along.
  7. Much chillier feel and in actuality in northern Maryland - upper 30s on evening walk and kinda raw. Didn’t like it.
  8. Aye - close too. nice to see baseball, even if still late February…
  9. Since 2014 only 2016 has been a good winter in the immediate Baltimore metro area.
  10. 23 on the morning ncr walk. Brilliant sunshine.
  11. The only time they will be right about blocking will be opening day of baseball through mid-April probably…
  12. 12/7/23: T (maybe a T on 12/6/23 too but I was not home to see it/verify it) 12/11/23: .8" 1/6/24: T (two hours of winter storm watch - yay! - rapidly converted to winter weather advisory - still ok... - then -- a little sleet and snow and a LOT of rain...sigh) 1/14/24 - T 1/15/24 (a little into the early AM on 1/16 too) - 4" 1/19/24 - 3" 2/13/24 - .7" I guess - slushy hard to measure 2/17/24 - 3.5” Season total - 12”
  13. 17 at the NCR trail at morning walk with the dogs - and 18 at the house. Brisk.
  14. Yuck. Guess I should start to glance at headlines...altho maybe clears the decks ever more for Jackson in the spring to grab the opening day spot.
  15. Beyond Bradish? Who else? When it comes to pitchers, that is all borrowed time -depth matters and the Os have depth and the ability to make more trades and/or signings to backfill if necessary. The Burnes trade so helpful already...
  16. .8" best I could figure - give or take - so wet and slushy. On elevated surfaces. I am five miles slightly southeast from Mappy.
  17. Spring? I hear an early spring popping. Fine by me at this point. Pitchers and catchers are in Florida and Arizona...
  18. Good thing they just traded for one of the best pitchers in baseball... Os will be more than fine- they have pitching depth to deal with the inevitable pitching injuries that hit every team every year.
  19. does it though???? (lol, this really is such a backyard pursuit - hope you all maximize)
  20. Yeah. I know people don't care because this an IMBY game but...it has been a long time and I kinda chuckle when I see another system with slightly drier amounts for our area is all. It's all fine, I get it...etc., etc., but...just once would like to maximize QPF up in our devil's trianlge of sadness when it is cold enough to be snow. Been a quick minute. Like, 8 years of waiting...
  21. I get it, but I am at only 8.5" on the year - not like there has been some magical north jackpot that is maximizing things. Far from it. PSU up on Mt. Crumpet is his own thing. He is 30 miles from me and it might as well be Tahoe the difference - he clocked six inches on Tuesday and I was a slushy .7 give or take. All things being equal, max'ing the qpf across my back yard would always be cool as opposed to counting on a gnats hair ass colder to make up the difference...
