  1. Sorry for your loss, glad for the snow now to help lift your sprit.
  2. This where I usually have to step away for awhile, when the worriers take over.
  3. Installed a string of lights last spring in back yard for my daughter’s wedding reception (which we hosted). I have been hoping to see what it looks like with them with snow falling. About to find out. Fine flakes, we are underway here.
  4. Should be close - air feels wet but don’t think it is snowing quite yet at my house in Balt city.
  5. I think gonna be a little while. Prob not til after 6 or 7. Have to be patient.
  6. There is if those of us north of bwi are trying to wash the bad taste of the UKMET away.
  7. Yes, I thought originally he meant up to the border based on his all caps update - he posted all caps on old news...nothing new there for those of us north of BWI where it still feels fringed or outside of best stuff unless the Germans and NAM are right.
  8. They haven’t changed it to a warning up my way - you confused me.
  9. Right. She’s sent me a LOT of happy snow picks for now a third year in a row. I am happy for her, but...still. Also kinda bit by some jealousy.
  10. My daughter lives there - I am not talking out of my ass - they’ve had two warning level events now the last two years that have dwarfed anything we’ve gotten. I know , because I am related to her and she sends pics and reports. You don’t always have to be contrarian.
  11. They have totally crushed our area for snowfall the last few years. Odd.
  12. Yeah - Greensboro will ride the mix line at some point in the next few hours but just north of there should easily clear a foot I would guess.
  13. My daughter just texted me some pics and a report from Greensboro- 7 inches so far
  14. Just checked - he still has me blocked!
  15. Checking in from Baltimore, gave up on this up here 24 hours ago. I have in-laws in Brevard and a daughter in Greensboro, so will live it through them and you all. Good luck, the ensemble agreement for your area is a stunner. The big ones often lock in early, and it appears to have been that way for you guys. Hope you all get across the finish line with it.
  16. At the time this thread was made, it was an attempt to get one particular doomsayer to stop derailing every long range winter thread.
  17. DCA: 11/17 BWI: 11/4 IAD: 10/26 RIC: 11/17 Tiebreaker: October rainfall at IAD. 3.9
  18. Eh, it was dry enough that the corridor made the severe drought status. He wasn't wrong about how dry it had been. Now forecasting continued dry based on that - he may have been off there...
  19. As crappy as this year has been, AGAIN, it won't be top 5 worst at DCA or BWI - but if things stop now, Dulles would be a top five worst for that location. I am still salty that the mid-March slop from last year knocked DCA and IAD airports from the top 5 worst list for last years abomination of a winter.
  20. Losetoa6 - this shows it pretty clearly (see below)...
