  1. Current observation from Brown Summit. 30 degrees light freezing rain. Radar looks like it’s filling in nicely to the southwest. I have a feeling it’s gonna be dark torrommow in the Triad.
  2. 15 miles NE of Greensboro. Currently sitting at 31.5 with ice still in the trees from this morning. I just came back from Burlington and it was no ice in the trees from what I saw.
  3. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I just looked at the 12z 12k Nam on tropical tidbits and it showed just rain for most of NC for the Saturday morning event.
  4. 34 degrees light snow currently 1/2 inch snow on the ground. 15 miles NE of Greensboro
  5. Heavy sleet! 34 degrees 15 miles NE of Greensboro
  6. Moderate snow falling 36 degrees 15 miles NE of Greensboro.
  7. Nice little surprise early this morning. Snow showers and 35 degrees currently. Looks like a nice band coming from central and southern VA.
  8. Ended up with 1/10 inch of ice this morning until changing to rain. I just remember growing up in the 90’s and early 2000’s and it wasn’t like this. We can’t even get an ice storm anymore lol. Anyways onto the next fantasy storm
  9. Sleeting heavy 15 miles NE of Greensboro. 35 degrees. update: changed over to snow at 9:30pm
  10. Yes sir! Born in 1983 on the eastern edge of Brown Summit at the intersection of Osceola-Ossippe Rd and High Rock Rd. Other than living in Hawaii 5 years and deployed overseas to support the war effort.
  11. So I live between Reidsville and Greensboro. Not trying to ask a imby question, but wondering how to prepare. At this point in time is it likely for the northwest Piedmont too see an ice storm? Just would like to be ahead of the curve. Anyways I very much appreciate everyone who contributes to this forum.
  12. 15 miles NE of Greensboro 33 degrees heavy snow and about an inch on the ground.
  13. 15 miles NE of Greensboro and the radar is starting to fill in to my SW. Sitting at 33 currently. Things could get a little interesting soon. Was the precip supposed to start already? It’s actually filling in nicely. update 12:09 light IP/ZR well that escalated quickly.
  14. Ohh come on you would love to be where Josh is. Hell most people on this board would love to be where Josh is. Dont be a hater man be happy there is someone out there living there life to the fullest. Next time book a flight to be in the middle of a cat 5.

  16. Am in Brown Summit currently. I'll give any updates or pictures if need be. That cell looks nasty rolling near PTI currently. Time to prepare lol.
  17. The storm in Forsyth county seems to be getting its act together. That storm that moved from Rockingham county to Caswell County is still dropping hail.
  18. Its impressive to already have a enhanced risk for eastern NC for Friday. Considering it's still Wedsenday morning. Wouldn't be surprised if there is not a area of moderate risk come late torrommow or Friday morning.
  19. Light snow showers here just NE of Greensboro. Nothing remarkable, but pretty to look at nevertheless.
  20. Time to drain the fuel and clean the carburetor on the generator. Stick a fork in it folks this winter is over. C ya winter 2019-2020.
  21. Anyway you can post? Am NE of Greensboro already sitting at .10 of ice and it's still heavy drizzle. Most forecast were calling for .10 max
  22. She is being conservative, but I like the way things look for us in the triad. Especially Greensboro north and west of there. The last time I saw over a foot was when I lived in High Point, during the Feb 26-27 2004 winter storm with 16 inches. Will this storm produce? Maybe..... only time will tell.
  23. Man has balls of steel. Alot braver than me no doubt. His luck will eventually run out. Let's just hope its not this time.
  24. I feel like Topsail Island will be totally devastated after this. Am gonna hate to see the pictures from that area after this.
  25. So am guessing if the euro track holds it's time to buy a generator and a chainsaw if you live in the Piedmont of NC?
