  1. Snowing heavily now. 2-3" looks like a good bet before the changeover. We should make up what we lose today on the backside.
  2. Snow started around 6am. Snowing light to moderately at times. Heavier stuff to the south still to come through.
  3. Looks like 3-4" possible on the front end tomorrow, then a couple inches more on the backside. The good news is that rain doesn't look significant, and temps only warm into the mid-30's.
  4. At this point Toledo looks like the best place. Should be a good thump on the front end in all locations but Toledo looks to remain all snow.
  5. You should be ok out west. Looks quite sloppy in this area. Snow to rain then back to snow. Hoping for a bump east in the models today but there's pretty good consensus with the track at this point. Models haven't exactly been performing well so who knows but the WTOD is rarely denied.
  6. Right around 6" IMBY. Its a very scenic and wet snowfall. Definitely better than expected.
  7. Nice spread the wealth event for Ohio. Great to see things over performing.
  8. Dumping snow here. Went from nothing to heavy snow. Radar looks good along the 71 corridor on north.
  9. That was good to see. Rgem looks good as well. At least there will be snow flying much of the day.
  10. Far too early to call it. Take a look at the ensemble’s… they all have the low in far eastern OH/western PA. Worst case with that solution would be a front end thump then a short changeover. Still a long ways out.
  11. Just quick burst of strong winds last night IMBY. Nothing special. Ground is covered this morning with the wet snow sticking to everything.
  12. Its definitely not ideal with the marginal temps. The way this Winter is going I will take back to back weekends with snow.
  13. Severe in mid Jan is never high on the list. Clearing out nicely down in Central OH. Too bad the late weekend system is fading southeast. Big changes with that system on the models the past couple of days.
  14. Ha. After the false start in December Winter looks to officially get started this weekend.
  15. Looks like three opportunities for snow over the next week. The Euro and CMC are still very similar for the Sunday/Monday event. GFS is alone at this point.
  16. The Sunday/Monday is becoming more interesting for the lakeshore. 5 days out so likely changes to come but the Euro and CMC are fairly similar with snowfall totals.
  17. It was nice to have a winterlike weekend for a change. 3.6" total IMBY. Surprised to hear about the snow totals near the lakeshore.
  18. Very small flake size currently. The highest amounts will be in very localized areas. Radar seems to be blossoming a bit over the lake.
  19. Picked up 2.5" last night. Nice scenery with the wet snow covering everything this morning. Looks like this will under perform with snow totals but at least it will look like winter for a couple of days. With the strong NNW'erly winds I'm surprised the snow isn't pushing farther inland.
  20. Seems like the models have be going back and forth with snowfall. 4-6" looks like a good bet across the lakeshore counties with more in spots. Temps are already in the upper 30's with winds out of the north.
  21. Just noticed the snowfall map... they must have let OHWeather create it
  22. Models still look good... even increased snow totals across the the lakeshore counties. The ground will be wet, and with marginal temps there will likely be a lot of melting to start.
  23. The 12z suite have a general 3-6" across northern ohio with the late week storm. Really low confidence but that would likely be the largest storm of the season.
  24. Good to hear the optimism toward the end of the month. The lack of lake effect in this area has been crazy. Can’t recall going this far into the season without a good event.
  25. Nice to see the snow flying again. Temps are colder today so the grass is mostly covered. About an inch or so here. Take what we can get at this point I guess.
