  1. Low of 44 last night, and smoky skies again this morning. Definitely chilly for June. Its probably due to the lack of rain but there are no flies or mosquito's yet which is strange.
  2. We've had an incredible start to Summer... weeks of dry and sunny weather. We really need the rain though... can't recall a time that yards were starting to brown out in early June. Late May/early June is usually the peak time for lawns. Smoke is super heavy today -- looks like a dense overcast out there.
  3. Temp dropped to 30 last night. Very heavy frost... tough night for the plants.
  4. Most of the accumulation happened between 4-6 am. Definitely an impressive set-up for May - where was this all winter?! We had around an inch but enough to make the trees with flowers and leaves to sag significantly.
  5. Woke up to snow cover this morning. Plows were out removing slush from the roads. If any more had accumulated there would have been tree damage. Temp is now up to 35 so everything is melting. Very little accumulation in areas below 1,000 ft.
  6. Congrats! Hopefully the weather is good.
  7. The past few days have been awful. We got spoiled by the earlier warmth. At least everything is green again... foliage is definitely ahead of schedule. It was 28 IMBY this morning so anything that was flowering took a hit. This past Winter was the low water mark out this way. Can't remember a worse winter for snowfall.
  8. Same total here. Went from heavy snow in the morning to sunshine in the afternoon which melted most of the fluff.
  9. Looks like the Rt.6/322 corridor cashed in overnight. Just looped the radar and the band mostly stayed north of here all night.
  10. Nice. About time your area cashed in. Picked up around 3" last night... will probably add a few more today.
  11. Around 1.5” here. Already melting. Just a coating in areas without elevation. Oof.
  12. Moderate snow falling. Surprised to see forecast totals increase to 4-8". Dry slot if awfully close already.
  13. Well, WW2 was in full swing during that time frame so maybe snowfall reporting/measuring was less of a priority.
  14. Beautiful day out there today with full sun... even with temps in the 30's it feels nice. Would almost rather miss at this point. But it will be a scenic wet snowfall.
  15. Ha. Good point. This "winter" is in rare territory for snowfall futility. Here's the snowfall map for 2011/2012. Not even close to 60" here at this point. We'll see what happens from here on out... hopefully Friday trends in a good direction.
  16. Can't winter just go away peacefully . Pretty good consensus but marginal temps are a bit concerning.
  17. NAM is close as well. GFS and CMC are a solid hit but the RN/SN line is close. Need a few bumps south for any confidence at this point.
  18. Glad you are keeping track of the snowfall ... I gave up awhile ago. A warm Spring would be nice but its not looking good at this point.
  19. Definitely a record setter. Probably around 30" or so inches around here. Couldn't imagine being a snow lover and living in an area that only averages 30-40" per season. Yeah, hopefully the coin flips next year.
  20. CLE finished Feb + 7.4 for the month with 1.2" of snow. Snowfall departure is now 31.6". Oof.
  21. I was surprised by the amount of ice out this way. Everything is still glazed over. Hoping the mild weather continues at this point. Despite the ice today, it has looked and felt like Spring.
  22. Icy out there this morning. Fairly heavy coating of ice on the trees. Hopefully the temp bumps up soon. Sitting at 31 degrees currently.
  23. This Winter is about as bad it gets. We've had some clunkers recently but this is a different level. CLE is -25" for the season as of today... the departure is much higher in the snowbelt. The recent mild temps and sun have me in spring mode at this point. Sure, we'll likely see some snow later this month but I've moved on.
  24. Just a slow burn of a snowfall. Snowed fairly hard yesterday evening. Picked up around 5" IMBY.
  25. Figured your area would do better than that. Big dry slot moving up North though.
