  1. Don’t think it was Trump. This is also on there. Hospitalization rates for COVID-19 in adults (18-64 years) are higher than hospitalization rates for influenza at comparable time points* during the past 5 influenza seasons.
  2. Erie county departments ordered to cut this year’s budget by 15%. That’s probably close to 15% reduction in jobs for one of the areas largest employers. Nys unemployment fund will run out of money in only a few months at this rate.
  3. Well all the delta car washes are closed for the next two years so you're all set lol.
  4. Yesterday at work we questioned whether some businesses would take the loans and simply pass on the money to their employees. As long as they use 75% of it for payroll the loan is forgiven...
  5. I had one on a G8 and never had issues. You have to take the attachments off though.
  6. I can say that at least one local healthcare system all covid area staff are getting an additional $10/hr.
  7. I think they realized they could be making more money. I just paid 2.34 yesterday for premium at Delta, and that was with a $.35 unlimited member discount .
  8. By far the biggest thing I've learned from this is that should we ever face some existential threat, I.E. comet, meteor, super volcano etc. that it will be an absolute shit show.
  9. We need to rip the band aid off. We should be allowing this to spread as fast as hospitals can handle. Instead entire healthcare systems are on their way to bankruptcy.
  10. This reminded me of Michael Scott canceling his hotel reservation for the Olympics in Vancouver.
  11. Crazy. Thats what makes this so different, so many carriers with no symptoms. Unless we all routinely catch the flu and exhibit no symptoms...
  12. No we haven't seen anything like that. Our field welders have been traveling to and from Ohio every week with NY plates and haven't been stopped. Id scratch maine of the list of places to vaca.
  13. Prob a lot of injuries too.Guys on Iron Radio were talking about that this week.
  14. I have two trips planned to the Adirondacks this year that I don't anticipate any issues with. A coworker is currently vacationing in Florida with no issues. Ive been to Ohio a few times since the lock downs for work with no issues as well. I think you would be fine.
  15. Are we playing price is right rules? I say October 2020. Politics will play a factor. Sweden will be a hot spot for tourism because they'll be the first place with herd immunity lol.
  16. 30M now unemployed or 18% of the workforce. I can see us getting to the 25% of the great depression by the end of May as large companies start making drastic cuts based on forecasting.
  17. Hey at least he didn’t walk around the hospital doing this.
  18. Not defending, explaining the why. I don’t necessarily agree with it but understand why he did it.
  19. That’s exactly what he’s doing in my opinion. States that stay shut down will soon have no money to fund the programs that their democratic base rely on.
  20. Show of strength in my opinion. He’s 60 and presumably with no underlying health conditions showing that this virus isn’t something to fear.
  21. Damnit the site is so slow, trying to get a voucher We had planned on going to Portugal in October but Sicily it is lol.
  22. I'm all for control measures, wearing masks, no large crowds etc. But shutting down entire industries is dangerous, not to us, but the entire world. The only reason this world can support 8B people is because of industry. Here in the states we'll be fine. We'll just keep printing money. (sarcasm) But globally if this continues for very long we will be entering a very dark period of history.
  23. Yea I agree with this. The cat was let out of the bag for too long and too many people are asymptomatic for contact tracing to work at this point. Its only working in S Korea because they caught it early.
