  1. So ever since riding my bike to steel mill as a kid I’ve had the lift heavy mindset. But I Recently came across myo reps, which work well if you don’t have access to a gym. You basically do an activation set of 30 reps, then 5 sets of 5 with just 5 sec reps in between. It’s only been a couple weeks but I still get sore the same way as lifting heavy. Might be worth looking into. I still do deadlifts and squats heavy, no way around that.
  2. He's really just trying to keep the gyms closed to prevent the resistance from being strong enough to fight back.
  3. I remember the occasional ass-hat. What I most remember is him tempering our excitement with science lol.
  4. I think we reacted too strongly, but that's just my opinion. The whole idea of flattening the curve was to prevent hospitals from becoming over run, and at least locally they never even came close. We wont know for sure until at least a year from now and what financial state the world is in.
  5. I guess everyone has a different experience. I can say that in my circles people are starting to think this was all way overblown. Look at how many people were waiting to shop at home goods this week. Restaurants are sporting hour plus wait times. Looking good for the economy locally as long as there isn’t a giant wave that sends everyone running.
  6. You should try a massage with CBD oil...couple places here offer it. I'm sure someone out by you offers it.
  7. A lot of the lifting podcasts I listen to make it sound very tempting, especially when not overdone. Down side is that once you start you will be on some stage of replacement therapy your entire life. I wonder if it will someday be decriminalized and de-stigmatized like marijuana and we start to see other long term benefits. As far as the grounding topic if there is some truth to it scientifically it would have to have something to do with oxidizing ions and being able to neutralize through electron flow. So i say plausible. I'm outside in bare feet 10 months a year...now if it would just get rid of some of this nagging tendinitis.
  8. If you want to be entertained go post that and americanpol... I think had we gone that route the entire world would have been better do it.
  9. I agree with @cny rider Buffalo has never seen triple digits because of the lake. So unless your in a second floor apartment in a metro area you really don’t need it. We have it and use it only on the hottest of days, and mainly because we’re in bed before 9.
  10. +1 on CBD oil. Plus it works great on dogs. Edit: You have to make sure its high quality. The crap sold at 7/11 isnt worth its packaging. I design systems that process CBD, only a few places do a great job with quality control.
  11. On the plus side when they do get big snowstorms their entire world stops.
  12. Just came here to post the same thing. Meanwhile Brazil is on a path to overtake the US in cases.
  13. Anyone in the highest returns? Hamburg/s buffalo? Looks insane.
  14. If true then we should be allowed to attend Bills games
  15. Anyone have any thoughts on the massive spike in Covid cases we will see due to the protests?
  16. Why do you doubt it? Colleges aren't going to stand idly by and bankrupt themselves. Their core population is much more likely to die of some other cause than covid while attending class.
  17. What unfolds in India over the next couple months will be nothing short of catastrophic. I'm surprised its taken this long to start exploding there but it has and they're going to end the lock-down anyways. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/29/world/asia/coronavirus-india-lockdown.html
  18. I’d be surprised if we get half of those back. That’s also going stagnate salaries for those who didn’t lose their jobs. Insane.
  19. I think it is political but I also think there are people who legitimately feel that there will be a vaccine or treatment developed and that we should stay locked down until that happens. There’s no guarantee of that and this isn’t deadly enough to warrant such extreme measures.
  20. You’re 100% wrong. The only reason the lockdown even happened was to prevent hospitals from becoming overrun. The opposite happened, entire healthcare systems are going bankrupt due to the lack of patients. Tens of thousands have been laid off and even more have had salaries reduced.
  21. I think sharp spikes followed by lockdowns followed by protests. I think it’ll be cyclical for the next couple years.
  22. Meh I think that if you read everything he said in both of those articles he doesnt contradict himself. The media needs to sell clicks so the headlines are pulled are going to grab your attention but dont tell the whole story. Here's an excerpt from the first article with the headline saying staying closed down too long could cause irreparable damage. The second part of this is basically what he says in the other article from ten days ago as well. “I don’t want people to think that any of us feel that staying locked down for a prolonged period of time is the way to go,” Fauci said during an interview with CNBC’s Meg Tirrell on “Halftime Report.” He said the U.S. had to institute severe measures because Covid-19 cases were exploding then. “But now is the time, depending upon where you are and what your situation is, to begin to seriously look at reopening the economy, reopening the country to try to get back to some degree of normal.” However, Fauci also cautioned states against reducing social distancing measures too quickly, adding they must take “very significant precautions.” “In general, I think most of the country is doing it in a prudent way,” he said. “There are obviously some situations where people might be jumping over that. I just say please proceed with caution if you’re going to do that.”
  23. I think it depends on the workout. I wouldn't be bothered much for lifting but cardio would be hell.
  24. I would be comfortable without any of that. In general people are being very respectful of personal space. Plus I have no more fear of contracting Covid than I do a flu or cold.
