  1. I’m slightly older so I remember growing up knowing nothing but winning. And then I got to high school and it was all downhill from there.
  2. Cardinals got lucky on a Hail Mary. Titans are pretty good if you haven’t noticed. Bills defense has been looking a lot like last years and they’re getting healthy. Offense is moving the ball at will even wo John Brown. So ya I’d say I’d least want to see the chiefs in the playoffs.
  3. Never been in the closet on the fact that we are generally de-evolving. Idiocracy got it right.
  4. Because the article leaves out the fact that many of those people would not have died had they been healthy. Instead it’s written with a headline meant to grab clicks and make people even more paranoid.
  5. That headline is slightly deceiving...many of those people dying of covid would have died of heart disease.
  6. Wrong. Name one solar or wind power manufacturer who is t heavily leveraging tax credits. Locally solar city is getting over $750M. FCE, who I did engineering work on, wouldn’t even exist without heavy govt subsidies. They also only exist because of carbon credits as they are now being used to eat carbon emissions from coal and gas power plants. I’m not saying keep burning fossil fuels. I think solar and nuclear should be the future with nat gas being used to compensate for load demands. (Solar and nuclear can’t adjust fast enough.)
  7. I was working in barker today(right on Lake Ontario shoreline), building a new food plant and it was loud enough that we thought something onsite blew up.
  8. There are only two long term solutions. Herd immunity and eradication. If the vaccines are as good as advertised then eradication is possible. But in general flattening the curve is all about allowing the virus to spread at a slower rate, not stopping it completely.
  9. They better find somewhere else...I get what they’re trying to accomplish but that’s kind of crazy.
  10. I got a enough firewood to last me the winter from it. All of the dead ash are falling in bunches now.
  11. Lol. @40westwx has no idea how infection happens. The masks aren’t a guarantee against infection. They simply reduce the chance for infection by allowing fewer of the virus to be inhaled or expelled as aerosols by you. Inhaling a single virus won’t make you sick. You need sufficient virus loading( or bacteria) to make you sick. For example, I work in food and beverage and design equipment to keep you getting food poisoning. The food you eat is still teeming with bacteria, however enough of it has been killed to prevent you from getting sick from it.
  12. Won’t be watching this one but will def be watching the Eddie hall and Thor fight next year. Last boxing match I watched was Tyson Holyfield.
  13. So it looks like sw flow afterwards, just a question of temp and moisture right?
  14. Sorry didn’t mean to pick on Tops, was just top of mind as an example of large stores allowed to be open while gyms were forced to shutdown. I agree that stores aren’t spreading corona, and gyms aren’t either. Seems like it’s being in close contact for a period of time that’s the trick.
  15. In our lifetimes this area will still be one of the best metro areas in the US for snow. Just look at what the average high was for the week of one of the best storms in history, snovember.
  16. This same thing happens in a grocery store. Gotta find that perfectly ripe melon... When I had a gym membership I always wiped down the equip when I was done. Recently when I was in MO for work the local gyms were open and everyone was wiping down before and after.
  17. Proof of said filthiness? The dirtiest gyms I’ve been in are still way cleaner than any Walmart or Tops.
  18. Looks like they’re going to use the money to fight the shutdown for gyms, not pay the fine. I think it’s a start, and I don’t see why gyms are being singled out.
  19. https://gf.me/u/y94m6q https://www.wivb.com/news/local-news/erie-county-comptroller-starts-gofundme-for-gym-owner-fined-15000-for-large-gathering/
