  1. With the way the radar looked yesterday I thought we’d see some bigger totals than that. I was sure someone got 4+”
  2. If it’s in your budget I’d go with a whole home generator or Tesla power wall/solar. We have a generator and it’s extremely convenient. I plan on doing a power wall when we go solar.
  3. Insane....I was going to say just buy a cheap ride and sell it but check this out...cars are selling for double their KBB. https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=587168475&zip=99508&referrer=%2Fcars-for-sale%2Fsearchresults.xhtml%3Fzip%3D99508%26city%3DAnchorage%26listingTypes%3DUSED%26sortBy%3DderivedpriceASC%26location%3D%5Bobject%2BObject%5D%26incremental%3Dall%26state%3DAK%26firstRecord%3D0%26marketExtension%3Dinclude%26relevanceConfig%3Ddefault%26searchRadius%3D50%26isNewSearch%3Dfalse&listingTypes=USED&numRecords=25&firstRecord=0&searchRadius=50&makeCode1=FORD&modelCode1=EXPLOR&clickType=listing
  4. I've always wondered about this and its contribution to global warming vs other causes. To me its just not smart to pack more people into an area that can support it without trucking in millions of pounds of food and supplies while trucking out the garbage. It's ironic to me that a majority of people pushing green initiatives live in large cities.
  5. Sounds like the Chinese cultural revolution... I'm counting my blessings that we didn't move back to the city. All she will do is enabe. Yes some people will benefit from her socialist agenda and maybe make a better life for themselves but its been my experience that it will only make drug use and poverty worse. Just look at what's happening right now with worker shortages.
  6. Radar looking interesting...let’s see if it holds together.
  7. Which is why the real focus of our money shouldn’t be spent trying to stop global warming but relocation. Real estate around here and the Great Lakes will be a great long term investment...
  8. Yea thanks! Honestly 2 dogs is easier than 1. Jury is out on 3 dogs vs 2 though. Luckily my in-laws have no problem watching the dogs when we travel.
  9. Been pretty busy lately but this guy is worth a share. He’s a rescue, Anatolian Shepard, 4 months old.
  10. If you get the chance to visit Dallas it’s surreal at first. Basically everyone open carry’s.
  11. Same. I do wonder if NYS making pistol permits such a PITA has led more people to source pistols illegally though. The process shouldn't take 6 months.
  12. Not sure what side of the argument you fall on with this post.
  13. https://cleantechnica.com/2016/08/30/chargepoint-now-30000-charging-stations-nearly-3x-us-starbucks-locations/
  14. Checkout quantumscape(solid state batteries) and chargepoint(ev “gas stations”)
  15. 4 years ago you could have easily hidden millions in crypto from the gov. (You’d prob have at least 400% returns too) Not so much anymore. They had to regulate it. That said their are stilL plenty of tricks out their, the easiest being a VPN. (I am not advocating this)
  16. Yea what made me buy in was what I learned about transfer fees. XRP is way cheaper than traditional ways of moving money bank to bank. Now they just have to figure out a way to reduce the volatility, however that’s true of (almost)all crypto.
  17. Hard to buy but I’m a fan of XRP. Also hold a bunch of tron.
  18. Last year in Feb I got sick with similar symptoms to what you're describing and it took me a month before I could breath deeply without coughing a dry cough. Hang in there. Id say keep lifting and stay away from cardio for a bit while your lungs recover.
  19. First symptom was fatigue. We didn’t start coughing or having the other symptoms until a couple days in. I hope it’s not Covid but it seems to have spread pretty rampantly through the circles of people I know in the past few weeks. I went almost a year without really knowing anyone and I’d say a solid third of the people I work with or am friends with have had it in the past month or so.
  20. Just rewatched GOT for the third time. That never gets old. Id say that Seaspiracy hit home with me because the animals arent farmed. Everytime I walk through a supermarket and see piles of fish and I wonder how can this be sustainable, how can the populations keep up with us fishing. I know that cow/pig/chicken etc isnt the best for the environment but at least I know they're being farmed for a purpose and I'm not driving them into extinction.
