  3. Man that's some impressive temp drops down in the interior SE MA lowlands. Down to 47 here.
  4. Damn we were just in Farmington during Labor Day weekend. We usually go to the Memorial or 4th of July parades as well when we are vacationing up there and the firetrucks are always a big part of it. Must really hit home for Tamarack. Really sad to hear.

  6. 1. Rocktober snowbomb: 13.5 inches of destructive cement on leafed trees, massive tree damage/ power outages. 2. June 2011 tornado : Passed just north, impacted family and friends. Saw the aftermath firsthand. 3. Blizzard Nemo: 2 feet, crazy wind and drifts, epic death band was worse just to my south. 4. July 2015 Maine microburst. Damaging microburst sent us home early from our vacation at the family cabin in Mount Vernon Maine. 5. Feb 5 2001 snowstorm: forecasted 6-10 inches on the day of storm, got 2 feet in 12 hours. Honorable Mention: Jan 11 blizzard, Hurricane Gloria.
  7. Nasty ride home. Strong swirling winds and frequent lightning and downpours. Couple of branches down but nothing too crazy right here.
  8. Yeah I was thinking butt dial or a 2 year old hitting random buttons.
  9. Here is one example of some significant damage i came across near the border of Longmeadow and Springfield MA.
  10. Show is over Northwest of 84 in Connecticut.
  11. Figures I'm down near Hoth. My parents near Spfld/ East Longmeadow line texted nasty hail/wind storm in progress about 10 minutes ago.
  12. Man this is one hell of a good light show from the fields of Enfield looking north
  13. This would be fun: "The world's lowest recorded relative humidity value occurred at Coober Pedy in the South Australia desert when the temperature was 93 degrees and the dew point was minus 21 degrees producing a relative humidity of 1 percent.Dec 16, 2011" Kevin and Dr. Dews would have a tough time
  14. Nice morning for a hike over in Barkhamsted, CT today. Crisp start where you could see your breath. Nice breezes and views as the cumulus had yet to form and no mosquitoes.
  15. I agree. It could very well be the ultimate hotspot. Ineedsnow hitting 100 right here in town is a bit of validation. I'm not convinced but its possible. Especially if BOX did check things out.
  16. Its possible. The ultimate downslope open field /tarmac area. A bit south of here and BAF which are both at 98 . it just always separates itself and runs warmer than the other death valley sites especially during peak heating hours. Could just be the perfect furnace spot or could be a bit high. They don't radiate well on cold nights at all either which seems a bit suspect but its 100 today and that is the official Hartford temp reading that most people use so congrats is in order. Just would have been nice to see a couple other official sites make it.
  17. BAF and here are 98. That's probably the real representation of 99.9% of us here in Death Valley but congrats to the tarmac.
  18. Back to 98 at BDL now. A brief glimpse of 100°F glory.
  19. 98.2 here. Goes along with my feelings gabout BDL being a bit high but Congrats to the tarmac
