  1. Just got pounded with pea size hail, wind, and a couple of close ctg lightning. Hail covering the ground.
  2. low of 30.9 around 3 AM. Now 38.6 with the clouds and wind. .
  3. 43 and light rain. Started an obs thread
  4. 43 and light rain as winter returns for one last dance.
  5. 33 here. Chilly start for sure.
  6. Increase in latitude and elevation won't hurt. You would still suffer from a downslope off the Worcester Hills which can get more pronounced the further north in the valley you go, especially in bigger storms with the big easterly fetch. Maybe Belchertown is good for maybe 6-9" additional snow per year than Enfield depending on elevation I would think.
  7. Man that sucks. I've considered this year pretty bad at 30-32" here in Enfield but like 20 miles south of me in the same valley with just over half the snowfall is ridiculous. Garbage year for sure.
  8. I'd sell more than a few flakes in the valley. I'm more intrigued by the hail potential and perhaps some decent gusts.
  9. +1.2 31.9" season and hopefully a wrap.
  10. 1" of glop. Nice Kev. Snowed quite a bit more.here than what accumulated and remains .
  11. Should be sticking on the Massif. 35.7 and light rain/ snow mix here.
  12. That's from Weather Underground at the weather station from the Observation tower. Might not be 100 percent accurate.
  13. Talcott Mountain in Avon at 915' down to 32.5. 37.6 here
  14. 45/27 and cloudy here at 145'. Should take longer to flip and accumulate at this low elevation. Expecting 3" on grassy surfaces. Kevin will grab 6.
  15. Winds of pretty much flat lined here the last couple of hours at a level or two short of damaging. Mainly small branches and debris tossed around with the lights flickering a couple of times. Rainfall has been copious.
  16. Snowmaps and Advisories/Warnings do seem pretty conservative fom GYX which is understandable given time of year and elevation closer to the coast etc , however, like you and others have mentioned ,once the dynamics take over there could be a pretty significant paste job. Perhaps the warnings and advisories can expand southward in some areas. AUG doesn't even have an advisory . I would think north and west of there in Kennebec county , places like Livermore or Vienna could get smoked even harder and don't even have an advisory.
  17. http://jobs.isirc.gie.net/newsletter/click?pubId=1&hyperlinkId=199440&productSendId=E1E98D8. Interesting article above. One may be able to find a certified tick-box installer to help with the small rodents which are often carriers.
  18. we'll probably whiten things up a bit but I'm not expecting much here in the valley.
