Radar is back to showing me as snow, still zr. Nice coating of ice though. Lost 3hrs on ice, yet if the switch is coming wonder why the short term models aren't showing much accums, such as hrrr only showing an inch?
Even worse.... 18z models show me dryslotting. I may be doa lol. 19z hrrr shows an inch for all of us south of i30 now. This storms is done boys. Time to wrap er up and put it to sleep.
Well it's a mix of zr and ip here now, maybe trying to switch back over. Ip is definitely becoming more relevant. Not really paying much attention to models at this point as obviously, they're useless. Best we can hope for is the models are off on when cold air pushes in and this low starts moving east a bit faster.
This system is over I have a feeling. Radar showing me snow which is obviously not accurate now... newest hrrr has the heaviest band through Mansfield now. Has me in Knox freezing rain through 13hrs. With around a 2hr quickie on the back end. Sometimes I hate tracking storms. Makes me sick.
But I can't make sense of the model. Explain it to me.. 850s and even 750s never go above freezing but has you getting to near 38 at the surface. But during that time the ptype map shows snow. Idk heavy snow with higher temps?
11z hrrr 850 temps never go above zero except extreme south franklin county but 2m temps get to near 40. Sigh.. but still showing a decent snow. I dont know what to make of it.
