Yea was fun aside the getting pulled over in Youngstown on our way, forgot to renew my license was forced to wait til 8am when the bmv opened to renew it and was 5hrs behind. Had to drive in it, was nuts.
Childsplay to the Boston blizzard of 2013 as well, but was still impressive. Chased the 2013 storm. Stayed in Worcester Mass. Got like 33" of snow and 85 mph winds. Was wild.
That's what I was just looking at. Didnt read the forum before posting lol. I was thinking the same. I'd guess 20:1 average but at 9° would be very easy to get higher ratios.
I'm watching 8-9 days out around the 7th. While I get this setup usually sucks for us, realistically(and you'll agree), they are the best chance for big snows of 8"+
Well just turned to the backside snow. Looks to last about 10 minutes lmao. Some of my snow cover held on today thanks to trees and shade. Was hoping for a quick quarter inch at least to cover the ground but that looks unlikely now too.
Edit: back yard snow cover is in fact, front yard is spotty. Snowed moderately for about 10 minutes but not enough to cover the bare spots. Hoping the little bit of snow on backside of radar touches for half hour to cover the bare.
Am I missing something? Went to two places in Knox county and both places heard someone saying we are getting an ice storm tomorrow. Like what weather are you all watching lol
As for the Monday system I wrote it off 2 or 3 days ago I think I posted I was waving it off. The writing was on the wall early with it. No way you was getting a 200 mile shift south and the odds of it spinning something up on the backside outside of a half inch or so was dreamland anyways. It's not even February yet. Let's hold off. 2 of my all time favorite storms came in February and March.
Hmm I got about 2.5-3" of powdery snow. Woke up to a winter wonderland. Radar didnt make sense either though, it showed light snow over me but it was snowing relatively hard and windy.
Waving white flag for Monday I believe outside of an inch or 2. Hope for a shift south but models are pretty consistent on snow being north of 30, outside of the euro which essentially still only gives a couple inches
