    Alright I'm just gonna like, observe the weather threads from now on and we'll see where the chips fall. I hope I'm wrong and we get walloped.

    Meh, I still expect us to go non-frozen at some point for sure. And a bunch of sleet during the day is gonna struggle to accumulate on roads. It'll be sloppy, for sure. I mean the NAM is mostly during the day no? Slop has a hard time accumulating on the roads in DC during the day in mid-late February.

    NAM is like exactly what I said to expect, slopfest. If it falls overnight potentially high impact event. Not like I said this would ever be a huge rainstorm, merely that climo wise seems more like a slopfest than a 6" snowstorm scenario.

    Make the thread as usual. This storm has been the complete opposite of the evolution of every other storm this year, so we need to make the thread as usual. What fails then will undoubtedly succeed now.

    It's a solid front end bump of snow followed by some serious ice that falls overnight; definitely a high impact event verbatim, I'd take it in an instant.

    It generally has less QPF across the area as a whole.

    18z Thu not as radically awesome as 12z and I only have low res maps but I think we're still snow.

    It's running now, looks maybe a tick more amped, pretty similar to 12z.

    Probably best to just expect a typical late Feb mediocre setup slopstorm and anything better than that is gravy. It is what it is.
