  1. i think they have to take measurements before a changeover occurs and ignore the set schedule. I mean, that would make sense anyways.
  2. I'm in a snowfall contest with a few another members on this board for every storm for NYC, BDR, BDL, BOS, thank you
  3. Snowblowers are fun, thats half the fun of a snowstorm. you've been missing out.
  4. BOS daily climo report says 1.2" for Dec 1st, can anyone confirm if this is correct
  5. Radar starting to filling in over W CT, showing signs of life. Rotting at 33F here, almost everything melted. All 0.4" of it.
  6. Updated Part 1 snowfall map. I feel pretty good about the original map right now after another 1-3 maybe 4" swings through tonight and beefs up these numbers a bit.
  7. I knew from the very start the general public would be carrying pitchforks on this one because of the numbers on the map dont represent snow depth at the end. There are two parts and a lot will melt in between around the state.
  8. 6Z NAM pretty decent for CT for another 2-4, 4-6 in NE CT
  9. Warming has continued a lot of CT above freezing now.
  10. Snowfall totals from Round 1. Map is for final totals, which i think is not bad. If i were to edit it, and i might, i would sharpen the gradient and bring some areas up some down. This map will be for verification though as i made it well before the event started.
  11. Bradley Airport also smoking a record with 4.6", beating 1.9" set back in 2915
  12. We broke a record for Dec 1st for Bridgeport with 0.7"! This beats the old record of T set back in 2012. Man what a day, back really hurts from shoveling.
  13. Euro looks a bit better for areas of C and W CT into NJ and NYC, im gonna laugh if the city gets more than me.
  14. OKX sounding a little worried, def low confidence fx. The other challenging factor is the transition back to snow across the area on Wednesday. Using a consensus approach, this changeover occurs across the Lower Hudson Valley and interior NE NJ during the late morning hours, then works east in the afternoon and evening hours. A changeover to all snow is expected across much of the area by midnight. Timing of this transition in conjunction with the deformation zone will be key to the amount of snowfall that falls across the region. There will likely be significant differences in snowfall amounts over short distances. Forecast amount changes are highly likely as this event unfolds.
  15. NEMO was a veritcal band pivoting over central CT. The only thing similar is that it's S+ but probably nowhere near 6"/hr. What's your current wx and snowfall total?
  16. Looks like sleet line stalled a few miles south of the boarder. Going to be quite the gradient in snowfall for rd 1.
  17. Looks like OKX banking on a big 2nd half for W areas. 6-12 total with 5-10 new. Prob end up being E areas.
  18. It looks like its washing out a bit near the boarder as i thought, NW CT looks all snow
