  1. Yea she made money. But those sales for board members are programmed. They sell at intervals already set up months in advance on a schedule prescribed by the company by-laws.
  2. Hope it works out for you. I didn’t have the energy to even swing a putter.
  3. It’s new. I knew the first CSO there really well. And Tal Zaks is a good scientist. I know several people who work there, 2 of them who used to work for me.
  4. Pfizer is def a PITA. When they buy out another company, they take the drugs, pick the bones, and lay off the folks. We call it being Pfizer’ed
  5. I usually agree with you on a lot of stuff, but your one damn cynical know it all
  6. Nobody is going to produce junk studies.
  7. Sorry about the weenie tag, but that post deserves it.
  8. I’m not picking on you, but this is straight up mis information. I blame the media and whoever writes these stories and the editors. The 6 month number comes from the trials and real world vaccination data. All this means is that of the people who have been followed, immunity lasts at LEAST 6 months. That’s the longest they’ve been able to really follow it so far. Somehow this little snippet got translated by the masses that immunity only just 6 months. SMH
  9. Hard to say what the first shot actually gives you. Like I said a day or so ago, not much data was acquired on first vs second dose since multiple dosing regimen, durability and follow up wasn’t done. Just guessing based on other vaccine research, the first dose is probably pretty effective, at least in the shorter term (think months). The second one is important to cement the memory aspect. But 80% is what Ive seen for the first one. But the durability is probably not as good without the second dose. If your going to get the first one, not getting the second one is foolish.
  10. 80% or so according to the trial data. It could even be a little batter.
  11. We’ll see where it goes. It won’t go up forever. It’ll peak and drop on its own no matter what any intervention looks like. India is very densely populated where the population is, especially in southern India. Infrastructure is awful, sanitation is non existent, and the hospital system is just as abysmal. The other thing that’s not discussed is the caste system. This is only a guess, but I would bet a months pay that a lot of the sick and dead are lower caste Dalits.
  12. That’s a good thing. A little perspective. The current 7 day average daily death rate is around 2700. The 7 day average for positives is around 300,000. The US has had similar numbers back in January. The population of India is 1.6 billion. Even if the numbers of reported dead and positives are double, the percentages still dwarf what the US had. Doesn’t make it any less terrible, but a little perspective. Hopefully they’ll be able to use what we send them.
  13. It’s pretty good. Decent brewery. They sell grill cheese to keep the “food” aspect on the up and up during COVID restrictions.
  14. Ever been to purgatory brewery in my town? https://www.purgatorybeer.com
  15. You can alternate Motrin and Tylenol. Take the Motrin, then 3 hours later do the Tylenol, then 3 hours later Motrin again and stay in that cycle for 12 hours. You can do that because they each have a different moa and excretion mechanism.
  16. When I bailed out of work on Wednesday at noon, I got to about Natick and had to turn on the heated seat and crank the heat to 80. Blanket and a heating pad on the couch when I got home.
  17. I survived, you will too. Probably.
  18. Interesting question. My first thought was the high dose of mRNA in the Moderna vax compared to Pfizer. The anecdotal info I saw was that Moderna caused the most issue after the second dose. But, I'm starting to see the Pfizer vax with just as many anecdotal stories. The fever and other side effects after the second dose scream neutrophil involvement and cytokine release so it could be a localized poly effect from the liposome.
  19. Stein, Stein, everywhere there's Stein This map looks dry cant you read the Stein.
