  1. That's part of it for me. The other issue for me is that a big part of human interaction is face to face. We get so many ques from facial expressions. A smile, a frown, etc. Its how we recognize one another as a human and interact. For the last year, people have been a faceless automatons. And some cultures use face coverings in a not so good way. I also wouldn't be as triggered if I thought they did any good. Don't want to hash that again, but its my opinion and I'm sticking to it
  2. I think it happens, even here in Massachusetts. A lot of states are fully open now. Once that happens, its over. By August, everyone will have had a chance to get a vaccine that wants one. If you get sick and haven't had one, that's on them. Indoor masking wasn't mentioned. That will be the last thing to go, IMO, at least in Massachusetts.
  3. maybe. I do know some who just got their first haircut in 14 months
  4. Yes it will. Not sure why, but it makes me actually angry to see people outside by themselves, wearing it. I know they can do what they want and its no business of mine of they want to keep doing it until the second coming. But for some reason it triggers me. I know it shouldn't. I think maybe I feel more sorry for them than anything because they are that frightened. No body should be that afraid.
  5. yea, I think he'll say the same thing. But it looks like by august 1, all restrictions on business will be lifted. I figure indoor masks will be the last to go. Get people used to not wearing them outside first. No change on my end. I never wore it outside anyway.

  7. Ive read books like this in school. One was the communist manifesto. No thanks.
  8. My uncle farms wheat and raises cattle in Texas west of Fort Worth. Wheat is about $7 a bushel. A bushel of wheat weighs 60 pounds. 60 pounds of wheat makes 42 pounds of flower. That’s about $45 worth of flour at Walmart. The cost of diesel to run the tractor to sow the wheat, plow the ground to get it ready to sow, cost of fertilizer, paying to get it combined, grain storage fees, etc etc. is astronomical. His combine bill last year on 5000 acres was almost 30k. To put it in perspective, wheat was $5 a bushel....during the Nixon administration. Back in the 80’s it was $3. Small farmers can’t make it anymore.
  9. Yes. It wait and see. We've never vaccinated this many adults at one time, ever, with any vaccine I don't believe. There's bound to be some weird stuff that's not really the "fault" of the vaccine per se, just some odd reactions in a handful of people out of millions.
  10. Not that day! The irony is, i've done a few when I was an intern on a urology rotation. So I knew what he was doing, but I was still freaked.
  11. I had nothing but a little shot of lidocaine. no sedative. I went in full bore sweating bullets. I saw no smoke, white or black. Just scared shytless.
  12. I was freaked the eff out that day

  14. I bought an 8foot pine 1x6 at lowes on Saturday for a shelf in my work shop. Its was a decent grade but still a basic 1x6. $11.57
  15. Dont feed the troll. When you look up the definition of internet troll, it has Forky's name on it. He's a professional.
  16. Depends on how the agreements are written.
  17. Dude. Give it a rest. Last post respinding to you. I’ve got you blocked. You just wear me out. Have a great night.
  18. Yes, all the FDA career scientists, outside advisors, Paul Offitt, every one of them. In Pfizer’s back pocket. Biggest beef I have with the real scientists in this whole thing is the testing. They still haven’t got that right. And the NIH’s messaging has been a disaster.
  19. I just hate to see people opine so vehemently on stuff they know shit about.
  20. BioNtech is the company that actually made the vaccine that Pfizer markets. It’s a German company owned and founded by a Turkish couple. They’re the ones that came up with the vaccine, but they’re too small to run the trials. BioNtech partnered with Pfizer to run the trials and manufacture it. And for the record, Pfizer/BioNtech wasn’t really part of operation warp speed. Yes they took federal money in the form of contracts to buy finished product if it got approved, but Pfizer used their own money to fund trials and manufacturing. Moderna took federal money to run the trials and ramp up production in addition to contracts.
