  1. Not taking about the UK. I couldnt care less about them. They used the Astra Zeneca vax mostly. It’s crap. In the US unvaxed are driving the increased cases. I know you’re an anti covid vaxer. So be it. But numbers don’t lie. Unvaxed are the majority of people getting it right now in the US. The problem with the ani vax folks is the more the virus spreads, the more it mutates. The more it mutates, the bigger the chance a mutant emerges that is truly vax resistant. And that’s a problem. Not sure why people don’t just get the damn shot. I truly don’t.
  2. If you still believe that 600,000 plus died because of COVID I’m not sure what to tell you. A lot have died of Covid for sure. But not 600k. Not here to argue or convince you. Believe what you want. :)
  3. They essentially have a zero Covid policy. That’s not possible. If they continue that, the population will be locked down and masked up until Jesus returns. And if you don’t believe in Jesus, then it will be never. Their death numbers are practically zero. The death numbers in the US are still pretty steady at around 250 per day. And I don’t believe those either. The actual number is south of that. We’re just going to have to learn to live with it. The best thing the government could do is stop reporting the damn positive cases every fooking day, stop the routine testing, and get on with life. If you’re sick, stay home. If you can’t breathe and feel like ass, go to the Emergency Department like you did when you had a bad case of flu you can’t shake. And if you get vaxed, get the RNA vax. Astra Zeneca and to some extent J&J are not that effective. The unvaccinated are driving all of this. And the fear mongoring is an effort to get people scared enough to get a jab. But in all seriousness, people should get vaxed. The mRNA vaccines work.
  4. Those lights are pretty horrendous. I guess they’re going back to Rogers Center at the end of the month. Limited people in the stands. Santana just hit one into center. That 5 so far.
  5. The mask thing is what pisses the most people off. I’m tired of getting blamed for the increase in positives because we’re not masking enough. The UK, South Korea, etc etc have been pretty mask compliment and they have exponential increases in positives. I’m not sure why it’s still being pushed as a mitigation measure. And if the govt wants to get the vaccine hesitant to get vaxed, reimposing mask mandates for everyone won’t help their cause one iota.
  6. I may have to eat my words, but I don’t see it. There’s no state of emergency. Even the Cambridge city manager said they would be hard pressed to keep a mask order in place once Baker lifted the mandate back in May and let the state of emergency expire June 15. California’s state of emergency is still in effect, so cities can impose restrictions if they like. New York’s emergency order is expired too. About all they can do is “recommend”, The DESE has been pretty clear. No masks in the fall. All the saber rattling by the APS and others is an attempt to cajole people to get vaxed and vax the kids. In other words, get vaxed or we’ll mask you up and lock you down again. Trouble is they can’t do it. Only the politicians can. And they don’t have the stomach to do it, with a few exceptions.
  7. Never got any sun here all day. Got some pretty heavy showers move through several times.
  8. They already have double header in august to make up fridays game. And now double headers are only 7 innings. Nobody likes that so they try and get the games in. Yesterday’s game should have never been delayed. As far as the shooting in DC ( I’m shocked by the way) it was outside the stadium not related to anything other than that’s where they were when they decided to put holes in each other. All that said, I hear what you’re saying about the train wreck.
  9. No shyte. My 4 fav months are February, July, August and September. So far July has been a disaster except for a few days here and there. And most of the decent days I was at work. If I can find a plus, I haven’t used my irrigation in over a month. The plants in my yard are jungle-esque.
  10. Too much beer was involved I’m sure
  11. That line just keeps going over my head. Really dark here.
  12. Yea, I don’t get it. People like that were probably a little off anyway. This just pushed them over the edge. Sad really. Some people will never be able to live and enjoy life again. That’s not hyperbole either. I hated my psychiatric rotation in school. Really depressing to see how messed up some people can get. I couldn’t deal with it. Longest month of my schooling.
  13. That cell in north eastern CT over Thompson just blew up and moved in here. Raining pretty good and the thunder has the dogs in an uproar. Got the umbrella down and the zero gravity chair in just in time.
  14. I’m sitting out by the pol and heard thunder. Not coming this way thank god. Woonsocket is getting wet though. .
  15. I doubt it. Another blog or 2 I’m on has people sending the Mass gov emails everyday wanting masks and restrictions back. Another guy said he and his wife have only been out of the house twice since March…..of 2020!! And that was to get vaxed. The still disinfect the pea pod and Amazon boxes. There’s still a ton of fear out there that wont end. I’d hate to live life that way. Mentally unstable.
  16. I don’t care. When the Sox are down people can kick away. The only thing more loathsome is a Jet.
  17. I wasnt serious. I loathe the Yankees like a boil on my backside.
  18. en suite. And say it with a pretentious French accent
