Vax rates won’t go up much, even with full approval. I think the mRNA vax’s will get full approval by October/November. Feds will mandate the military, not sure about employees. Once they get full approval for 12 and up, they’ll be mandated at some point to go to school just like the other vaccines. Employers will be stuck somewhere in limbo. My company isn’t mandating it, but unvaxed require a weekly Covid test. That will be one mandated by a lot of employers.
Get rid of it. It was crap 16 months ago and it’s still garbage. Causes a ton of problems.
On a manger note. They get too much blame for loses but not enough credit for wins. Boone’s not the issue for the most part, IMO. Cashman on the other hand probably needs to go.
Last years 60 game schedule, no fans and COVID restrictions killed last season. My opinion was bringing back Cora has more to do with it than anything. What they added was ok, but Cora has them playing as a team.
I thought they’re be a little better than .500, but not by much. They still need a left handed hitter that can play first everyday. They could use another starter. I’m not sold on Sale being effective. They also have to figure out a way to beat Houston. I still think Tampa will fade (to be honest, I thought there’d have faded by now). But Houston isn’t going anywhere. They’ll be there in the end. Hard to say anything about the White Sox. That division is pretty bad. The Indians ( excuse me the “Guardians”) aren’t giving them much competition.
I guess you’ve never worked 8-9 hours a day masked up with safety glasses, with side shields, all fogged up and about to suffocate. With no one else around you for 20 feet. And all because the governor in his cushy office mandated it.
If you have and you dont mind it, more power to ya.
I’m not scared or concerned. I just object to working all day in the lab with my damn glasses fogged up again and not being able to breathe freely. And my kids sitting in class masked up for 6-7 hours a day. Hopefully it won’t happen.
I think a lot of the anxiousness around here is the fear of statewide mask mandates coming back. The shutdowns and restrictions on capacity are over. But the mask thing is all the politicians have left they can use to show “they are doing something”. Personally I wouldn’t wear one at this point anywhere even if he said so. No business ever really threw me out before. They’re sure not going to if it came back. A few might but I wouldnt shop there. My issue is my kids in school having to wear them all day. Both of mine are vaxed. I didn’t have them vaxed to wear masks all day. Fook that. And I’d hate to go back to wearing one at work. Did that for a year. I’m done with that. My whole department is vaxed and those that in our buildings that aren’t have to wear a mask and get COVID tested every Wednesday.
So yea, I think there’s a ton of anxious, vaxed people afraid they will have to go back to a face diaper.
Nobody is in the hospital, only a handful. The death count is practically the same as it was 6-7 weeks ago. This is just cases. There will always be cases. All the masking and lockdowns were to keep the hospitals from overflowing. That’s not happening, at least here. Even where the hospital numbers are up, there’s nobody dying in the hallways.
Oh I agree with you Deihl has no shot.
Any mask mandates now will just piss off the vaccinated and make the unvaxed even more defiant. That mask genie is out of the bottle.
My buddy who lives in Santa Monica told me a couple days ago that a lot of people are ignoring the LA county order and businesses don’t give a damn either.
As I’ve said before, the feds can’t make states do shyte. And it’ll be an advisory. I’d be surprised if baker does anything. He’s going to run again and he’s got Geoff Diehl primarying him on the right. Baker won’t do anything to piss off his voters
I’m at the Cambridge mall today killing time while my son is at punting camp at Medford HS. Despite the Cambridge advisory to mask up, I don’t see anymore masked than I did a couple weeks ago.
And what’s his prescription? Lock down, distance and mask up? That’s worked so well in compliant countries like South Korea and the UK. That’s the fall back position since he knows nothing can stop it except time and more vaxed people.
Honestly nobody cares much anymore. Deaths and hospital stats really aren’t going up that much. People are over it and want to get on living except a handful.
Yea, same here. I’m usually a big fan of the summer games. Not so much the b ball, but gymnastics, swimming, diving, and the track and field events. This go around, I really have no interest. Not sure why.
That works depending where it is. Once the plastic light niches start to leak, they’re hard to patch. Mine is cracked on the edge so you can’t build any putty up on it. If you do, the light won’t seat correctly. So I’m basically stuck either replacing it or closing it up.
That’s pretty easy to replace.
My light niche leaked and was epoxied 10 years ago. I had the liner changed last October and I think the epoxy got chipped and started leaking again. I got more putty on it but it’s not going to work. So $2500 to take up pavers, dig it out and replace it, or $250 to cover it. I elected to cover it.

Lol. That’s not BS. I’ve had really good ideas that way, or in the shower, driving.
Tuesday morning I was driving to work and cursing traffic when it dawned on my I was analyzing the wrong phenotype. My graphs weren’t looking like they should and sitting in traffic I figured out why.
I turned the heater on and mine is 84. I hate cold water!
I have an half inch a day leak. Light niche. I’ve had it epoxied before but it’s a lost cause. The pool company is coming next week to put a lexican plastic plate on with a new gasket to seal it off. I’m tired of losing water and having to constantly keep adding salt.
