Just got back from taking the dogs on they afternoon walk. Cold and wet. 41/40 and nothing but rain here near New Bern.

Temp went up to 44 at noon but is now back down to 43. Need It to drop more.

Rain and 43/40. Temp has dropped 5 degrees since rain started at 8:45 this morning, 2 hours ago.

48/37 about 5 miles southeast of New Bern.

It certainly was last year for us. We had a whopping 0.5" which was our total for the year!

Looks like this could be our 3rd torch February in a row. Only time will tell but cold weather doesn't look likely for the next 2 weeks.

That is exactly what I am thinking. My area will be lucky to see low's in the 20's again. This is looking like it may be the first winter in some time that I don't see temps fall below 25 much less 20.

Had to mow my backyard today. Thanks winter. Thought I could have at least 3 to 4 months off from that!

Of course it will disappear next run. Way to far out to even get a hint of excitement.

After a bit of OT today, I will get 15 solid days of vacation. Then after that it will be only 26 days until I retire. Woohooooooo.

FedEx ground sucks. I usually try not to use them but I ordered a bunch of stuff from Wallyworld and it promised a Saturday delivery. I waited as long as I could and figured they would just drop it off at the door like UPS and USPS does. At 4:30 I had to leave for about an hour and of course a short while later they showed up and then left without leaving the packages. Why they don't give a time at least within a few hours when they will deliver is beyond me. They gave me a 12 hour window. I will do my best to never use them again if I can help it. They are worse than the cable guy. Now I have to wait until Monday and hope they get here before I leave for work. Now I got a notice that they will deliver Monday by 8 PM. The holding site is over an hour away so going there is a no go.

And gives my area 3". Yep very legit for middle of November!

Wow, quit a change in the forum today. It's very bright now! Need some shades.

We have decided to come home tomorrow from our trip, cutting it short by 2 days. Luckily the airline has allowed us to change our flight at no charge due to Dorian. Thursday is going to be busy since we have no food or gas for the generator. Hopefully it will either miss us big time or weaken as it comes up the coast and not be a big issue.

Am sick to my stomach watching Dorian. We are still in Colorado but have our 3 pups at home. Not sure what to do. It will cost us $400 to change our flight to an earlier day if needed but the way models are changing daily, just don't know.

Heading to Colorado tomorrow for some camping, hiking, and hopefully tagging a few 14'ers. Fun times are a coming!

I have a question. My wife and I are heading to Colorado for a vacation this summer. We would go either in July or late August/early Sept. Airline tickets are much cheaper for the later than in July by several hundred dollars. Thing is I am now deftly worried about Hurricanes after last year but we so want to go. I know the fear is pretty much unfounded since the chance of getting a storm in any given year is slim but would you go and not worry about storms?
