Picked up only .03" with an 80% chance of rain. Very humid out. Currently 81/80. Spoke too soon. Got a surprise hit with a lone tropical downpour that formed over us. Picked up .44" with it.

Nothing but a brief shower so far today. Most of the rain seems to be concentrated over the outer banks. Very humid though. Currently 82/80.

Streak finally ended with .66" from a heavy thunderstorm just a bit ago. EDIT: Rain has stopped. We ended up with 1.81" for the day including hours of a good soaking rain.

21 days as of yesterday with little to no rain. Hopefully streak that ends today. Currently partly cloudy and 83/78.

They have been in the mid to upper 90's for the last 5 or 6 days. Their sun angle is probably equal to ours.

Until I start seeing highs in the 70's with lows in the low to mid 60's. Heat is still on just not brutal heat like the last 2 days.

Gonna be a hot one. Excessive heat warning up for my area. Upper 90's forecasted. Currently it is a miserable 88/81 for a HI at 106. Is it really September? Day 17 with little to no rain.

Picked up .09" last night. Humidity has skyrocketed because of it. Currently 88/81 just before high noon.

Looks like a mini heat wave coming this week. Low 90's for us Tuesday thru Thursday with upper 80's this weekend. No relief until next weekend.

If you think about it, we are about 2 to 3 weeks from peak and we have already had 10 named storms. Yes most have been weak ones but none the less they at one time were significant enough to be named so we are already above average. And remember it only takes one to make it a bad season. Isaias was bad for millions of people even though it was only a cat 1.

I was looking at our extended forecast and it has highs in the low to mid 80's with lows near 70. Nice break from the heat and humidity.
