Lots of thunder this morning but once again, no rain. Only good news is that our streak of 90+ degree days is over. High today was 87. Rain chances went from 80% this morning to 20% this afternoon. Chances have dropped the rest of this week too.

Day 17 of 90+. Currently 92/79. EDIT: Once again the big storms just miss us. Lots of thunder and dark clouds but only .01" from it. Did cool it down from 94/79 to 81/75. Hopefully tomorrow will be our lucky day.

Day 15 of 90+ temps. High of 92. No rain.

High of 93 and still no rain. Chances went from 60% down to 20%. So dry out here. Well shortly after writing this, a brief but heavy shower formed on top of us and dropped .25". Better than nothing.

Forecast was for a high of 86 with a 60 percent chance of rain. High was 92 and closest rain was about 30 miles away. Hopefully tomorrow our luck will change.

86/75 and still dry. Need rain badly. Grass is starting to turn brown.

94/76. The heat continues. This makes 12 days at or above 90 for us this month.

I am in New Bern and we have had HI's above 120 before. It is rare but it does happen. We are currently at 93/80 with a HI at 112. Earlier today I was at 96/80 for a HI at 116.

Had a storm blow up just to the east of me, didn't even cool us down a degree. No outflow from it unfortunately. Currently 90/77

The July doldrums are here. Hazy, Hot, and Humid for the foreseeable future. Currently 91/80 and dry. No rain forecasted until Sunday.

Picked up .19" from the severe warned storm this afternoon at my house. I was I New Bern during it and they got pounded by it. Easily got well over an inch from it, 40 mph winds, and intense lightning but thankfully no hail.
