  2. 87/77 in DC. Bleh. We'll definitely stay 80+ overnight, remains to be seen if late storms tomorrow drop us down below 80.
  3. I believe it - DCA maxed out at 110 I believe (at least on the hourly ob). Here we were between 110 and 115 most of the afternoon. Right now Quantico is 88/80 with a HI of 104. Nasty stuff.
  4. lol all the folks from Europe in town for the NATO summit - welcome to DC!!!!
  5. 91/78 here, HI 105. It's 830pm.

  7. DC and Arlington already had a city/county-wide boil water advisory last week because of an algae bloom in the Potomac (from hot/dry conditions). Definitely concerned about the general water supply at this point.
  8. if it stays dry i bet we'll get 100+ again at DCA.
  9. 93/75 HI 105 at DCA, 93/79 HI 110 in Tenley. Brutal.
  10. Yeah the incidence of 80+ lows in DC was basically 0 until about the 1980s, and it has risen significantly since then. Via Ian on Bluesky:
  11. DCA briefly dipped to 79F early this AM, so the 80s streak is over at 3 straight nights. But it's oppressive out. DCA is 88/76 at 10am while in Tenley we are at 89/79 for a HI of 104F. It's 10 am folks!!
  12. is a Maddox heavy rain event when the rain event throws a complete game in under 100 pitches?
  13. that's an all-timer right there - although if we stay this dry, something like that wouldn't be a big stretch.
  14. 98 or 99F at DCA. 95/73 here in Tenleytown. Just relentless.
  15. i mean I wouldn't be surprised.
  16. 91F at DCA at 10am with, as mentioned, an overnight low of 80F. Merciless.
  17. 85F at 1am at DCA. 97/80 on the day, another 80F low.
  18. 97 at DCA for the high, 90F at 8pm.
  19. 98/81 on the books at DCA (temp of 89F at 1am). Another 80+ low.
  20. 90F officially at midnight at DCA is absolutely obscene. This is some of the most intense nighttime warmth I've experienced, especially given the high of only 98F.
  21. 91F at DCA at 1130pm. Absurd.
  22. 87/78 with a HI of 100F at midnight for DCA. An extremely warm night tonight.
  23. DCA's 87/78 at 11pm is among the warmest temperatures in the US right now outside of the desert SW.
  24. 89/78, HI of 103 here. Awesome.
