  1. Snow around us here as well, level seems to be around 3000 ft. This is looking towards Cherry Mountain from my house.
  2. Looks like a few mangled flakes are mixing in with the relentless rain at times, but still 40F here
  3. We’ve had sheet drizzle all day. Very annoying and bone chilling. Ceiling is very low so no idea where the snow is, but looks like freezing level is around 3500 ft or so
  4. Pretty run of the mill storm here. 1.8" of rain and some downed limbs but that's about it. Annoying sheet drizzle now in spite of nothing on radar, will be nice once it's sheet snow. Temp dropping steadily since the wind shift but still 42
  5. I might just lose the 4 leaves we have left...
  6. Sneaky cold tonight. Already down to 28.
  7. By the way interesting that Pinkham Notch is about a week or so behind Bretton Woods even at similar elevation. Not sure why.
  8. Past peak here, but still great on the other side of the notch heading towards Wildcat. Took a ride up the gondola there today. Mobbed but worth it.
  9. We have definitely moved past peak here. Lots of bare trees starting to show. Such a fleeting but beautiful season! Will head into Conway this weekend. It was still pretty green just over a week ago so it should be quite good now
  10. So much Diane talk, her ears must be ringing! I should clarify, she hasn't officially accepted yet but we are definitely interested. She is currently on her way to Mass then we should be able to meet over the next several days to make things official. It will be fun to have another weenie in the area, so we can go from me JSpin and PF to 4 when we talk about never ending flurries. Watch this be the year we get nothing!
  11. I'll let her give her update She should literally be on her way out of the oven - I mean, TN, right now so not sure how much time she has for checking in!
  12. Had the same observation today. The reds seem to have really popped today, it was simply stunning. My mom who’s been visiting had a similar observation as the yours - she said it’s incredible to have just miles and miles of bright red and orange trees, and with the low clouds and fog banks this morning it really looked like the forest was on fire.
  13. We lost a lot of reds here, but still nice.
  14. We are currently hosting a wedding on property. The tent has sides but still, I would not want to be standing around out there at 31 degrees in early October. It feels way colder than it does later in the year
  15. Temp tanking here. Already down to 33
  16. Speaking of fog, my kid now goes to school in "HIE" and I've been surprised by how much fog they get! Almost every morning.
  17. I can attest to that. We still has SOME mosquitoes after 27F mornings. Not nearly as many, but some. In related news, what a raw day here. Feels like a prelude to upslope if it were a tad warmer - currently 43/39, gray sky, wind howling. It's coming...
  18. The Notch is not too bad. It's the Kanc that's out of control. But the notch doesn't really get great colors, there's not a lot of maples, mostly beech
