  1. For all the bad winter talk, this is shaping up to be a pretty spectacular school vacation week got visitors up here. Not too cold, no rain and no crazy warm weather, and great conditions. Only drawback is that we are slammed - but people don't seem to mind the crowds. Everyone's been commenting on the awesome conditions
  2. A cloudy but awesome ski day. The little pink thing is my 3 year old daughter on a black diamond.
  3. Going to Orlando for NH school vacation. A giant storm is guaranteed. The biggest ones always happen when I'm gone lol
  4. An unexpected 0.7" overnight. Good to keep those trees white.
  5. Brought my daughter to ski school and I have to say, cold as it is, the sun makes a big difference. It's definitely not the same as the December sun
  6. Now -16/-32. My daughter has ski school at 9, yikes
  7. -13.2. My house makes all these weird snapping noises.
  8. Only 0.9" here this morning, so maybe 20% of what was forecasted! The skiing was awesome though. The glades look great. Started snowing again an hour ago or so, let's see what the afternoon brings.
  9. We've had 20 minutes of moderate snow with large flakes today, then occasional freezing drizzle and now snizzle
  10. True. The past week seems like the first time we've held on to a pack >12" for a reasonable time.
  11. It's snowing pretty nicely out. It's like my house is generating it looking at the radar!
  12. Tapering off, it seems - 3.7 total, about half overnight and half this morning
  13. This storm left some really nice scenery with the sun now poking out
  14. Part of the reason is that a good part of our 7 or so inches were from upslope; but as I've mentioned in some threads Conway has gotten really screwed this year. They get no upslope and in several events their low elevation has meant rain. Never seen anything like it down there! Just a bad bad year for everyone but locally even worse for them. And their ability to retain the pack doesn't help when nothing is falling
  15. Posted this in the other thread but similar transition here, with the upslope overall heavier than the storm side. It looks like a prolonged series of squalls.
  16. Pounding hard. Essentially like a protracted squall.
  17. Some pretty incredible snow rates right now
  18. I love how my wood pile looks with the snow. I know, weenie tag away
  19. It's ripping. About 5" so far. Making up ground quickly.
