  1. May be a matter of an inch more or an inch less depending on wind direction, but I don't think there will be a lot of difference. Even JSpin and I have remarkably consistent observations. The main difference is from ocean storms, which we tend to get more, and LES, which we don't get at all
  2. Alright, MT Washington facing camera is up. https://video.nest.com/live/S9cztU6Ans
  3. Nice to "meet" you! Welcome to the team!
  4. A couple more duds in SNE snowfall and we become the majority
  5. Thanks Gene - everyone is well, hope the same with you! I’m actually going to move one of the Nest cameras to the other location, so we’ll have a camera towards Mt Washington - good for the view but an area of awful snow retention because it’s so wind scoured - and one towards the East with much better snow retention. Gotta satisfy all types of weenies.
  6. That cam is down; after a while the cord got very brittle and it essentially disintegrated. I have a Nest at my house facing the opposite direction, I will add that while I get a new cord for that camera
  7. Yep, that's the official low! Very frosty this morning but warming up quickly and already up to 33.5 and the frost in the sun is melting quickly. My tomatoes are under an awning on the south side of my house, I wonder if they will make it!
  8. 34.2 at the weather station but I went outside and scraped off some ice on a metal bucket on my deck; first of the season. I don't have a cold fetish (in fact, I find it quite annoying) but it is amazing how this spot can radiate. Incredible microclimate.
  9. Pretty cool, I did. It's Mars. 35.2. The slide continues
  10. 37.8. My pond is steaming like a hot tub. And there's a very orange object in the sky to my east. Mars? Jupiter?
  11. Just dropped into the 30s. Pretty spectacular temperature gradient coming home from Conway. 57 in No Conway, low 50s in the Notch, 51 at the AMC Highland Center. Dropped 4 degrees to 47 in the first mile after the Highland Center, then down about a degree every mile; 43 at the Hotel, 41 at the top of my driveway, 40 at my house (about 10 feet lower than the top of the driveway)
  12. All depends on the wind. It's still pretty breezy. If that stops, down we go
  13. Yep. Been bringing plants in, it's time!
  14. Looks like first frost or freeze tomorrow night. Should really speed up the leaf change!
  15. Count me out for cutters. While we've had overall decent amounts of snow, I feel like we've seen a ton of those in the past 2 years. Maybe we could arrange for 4 months of moist N-NW winds?
  16. I've had a white Thanksgiving every year since moving here (can't even remember for sure how many that is but it would be 3 or 4 past years)
  17. Yes pretty normal here. Seems early but it really isn't. My mom reminded me this morning that last year she arrived for a visit on September 15 and she thought at that point the foliage was "spectacular" - lol, for us it had just started. First foliage season in NNE can be a pretty amazing experience
  18. Hard to see in the picture but not only does it feel like Fall... Colors are really starting to pop
  19. 38.8 here. Frost is not far, but would be great to keep it at bay for another couple of weeks!
  20. Heat going on tonight. The sun is starting to lose some heating power so the house has less less warmth to start with. Currently 47
  21. We need a new thread lol. It doesn’t feel like the warm season at all out there! Windy cloudy cold and drizzly
  22. We’ve had more seasonal rentals requests this year than ever before. It’s crazy.
  23. It's funny how everyone has their thing. I like snowpack but my #1 thing is snow covered trees. Works out perfectly - most of the time - in my locale, where trees tend to be snow covered more than most other locations I've experienced, even if places like Bartlett down the notch do much better in snowpack (even theirs is generally much more short lived than ours, it can get quite a bit deeper than up here)
