  1. Can we start a petition? We need that run to verify. I’m craving the glades! Glade West opened last week but of course closed back up after the rainstorm. Bretton Woods is not the same without the glades... oh and I love snow.
  2. The wind is another fascinating microclimate thing in the mountains. It always does its own thing!
  3. I actually have a good feeling about this one too. Not that that means anything!
  4. The wunderground radar that shows on my PWS actually seems to be the best around here too... NWS' is unusable for upslope
  5. What's with this weather? I thought it was supposed to clear out but it's been getting more and more intense. It's almost like a squall now
  6. Pretty persistent waves of upslope today. And man it's cold! The conditions at the mountain were quite good but the kids could only handle 4 runs before they started getting really cold.
  7. My perception of last season was that it was a lot of cutters, but unlike this last cutter, they still mostly resulted in a net gain - similar to how the "thing" coming up this weekend is currently forecasted. So while it wasn't a nice straight mostly snow series of storms, and not a ton of upslope, we did get a decent amount of synoptic even if it was punctuated by rain. Of course, it seemed like a downer compared to the previous season, when glades were open by Thanksgiving and stayed open till closing day
  8. Woke up to a random 2” of unexpected snow!
  9. CCBs tend to work out much better up here because they are usually a N or NW wind, which gives us a nice orographic enhancement. I’ve seen plenty of storm where the CCB/upslope gave us most of the QPF (usually large storms where the first half down slopes/disappoints and then when everyone else is game over the fun begins for us)
  10. That actually happens quite a bit here after a cutter. Snowpack in areas down the notch and even down in Bartlett or Conway tends to survive much better. It’s usually very little loss down there but it looks like crap from the rain, vs a big loss here but it looks much better from the few inches of follow-up upslope
  11. I didn’t know we were active participants in the weather lol. What cards do I need to play for a 48 incher?
  12. About 1/4 inch here but it’s already melting lol. That December sun angle is killing it Or maybe the warm ground.
  13. Hey just saw our P&C. I know there’s still a lot of uncertainty but a day ago I thought I still had to prep for another possible flood so this makes me warm and fuzzy lol
  14. Interestingly, aside from all the jist , I think SNErs still root for snow for us more often than not. I remember when I lived in Mass, knowing that there was snow up North was always comforting in a way even when there was no snow in my back yard. Being a skier of course has a lot to do with that as well.
  15. Is that "Definite Puke" status?
  16. How about a few week of moist NNW flow?
  17. Agree. It's a very appealing thing of this area; bare ground in the winter is VERY rare! And even if today's snow was barely measurable (West is not best for us), it still goes a long way to make it feel like winter
  18. The groomers actually skied surprisingly well today. Very crowded though with only a few trails open
  19. 0.4”. It ain’t much but it is white...
